Yard Operator
Description
Our team is growing, we are looking for an experienced Yard Operator to join our busy distribution center pipe yard located in Abbotsford, BC.

As the Yard Operator you will be picking and packing orders being shipped out using an RF Scanner, load/unload trucks, work cohesively with the shippers/ receivers, and supporting where needed as a floater.
What you need to know:
This is a full-time, temporary to permanent employment opportunity
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift time: 8:00AM-4:30PM
Wage: $23.00/H
Previous Sit Down Counterbalance or Reach Truck experience required
This position requires working outdoors for long periods and in varying working conditions

You are legally permitted to work full-time in British Columbia and are located in the Abbotsford region

Responsibilities
- Picking orders using RF Scanner and preparing them for shipping, including: stacking, wrapping, packing and crating products
- Working with urgency and efficiency to meet all Targets and KPI's
- Operating all forklifts on site while following all safety protocols
- Loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or equipment
- Work cohesively with the pickers and shippers to meet requirements on dual zone orders
- Participating in cleanup and maintenance of the facility and yard
- Once training is completed, you will be operating all equipment on site (Order Pickers & Reach Trucks)
- Inventory maintenance; cycle counts, annual inventory counts
- You will be supporting departments where needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a yard environment and comfortable with working outdoors
- You are comfortable working outdoors for long periods and in varying working conditions
- Ideal candidate would have a minimum of 1-2 years of warehousing or yard experience
- Previous Sit Down Counterbalance or Reach Truck experience is required
- Team player, adaptable, and energetic with a positive professional attitude
- Ability to meet physical requirements; lifting 30-40 pounds consistently, standing, pushing, bending
- Have strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Are great at communicating with others in both verbal and written format
- Steel toe boots required
