This spacious & serene hideaway is nestled on a 1-acre lot in a mature forest in the unique, historic resort community of Victoria Beach, Manitoba, Canada. Located on a peninsula on the southeastern shores of Lake Winnipeg it offers many world-class powder-sand beaches, hiking & biking trails, golf, tennis, fishing, x-country skiing, ice fishing & snowmobiling. 5 bed, 2 full bath executive-style bi-level retreat w/ WiFi, 2 TVs, wood stove, fire pit & laundry facilities. "Life as it should be!"
The space
Our property is a fully renovated 5-bedroom, 2 bathroom bi-level home secluded on a gorgeous 1-acre forested lot. Boot room entrance, open concept living room with wood stove, dining room with patio door to deck/BBQ and fully equipped gourmet kitchen! Separate beverage center with bar fridge, microwave, drinking water dispenser and multiple coffee/espresso machines. Stone counter tops, under mounted lighting and induction stove. Three main floor bedrooms. Large primary bedroom has TV with ensuite, walk-in shower and heated tile floors. Corner bedroom doubles as an office with computer and printer. Fully finished lower level offers a foosball table, TV area and dry bar. (Two of the five bedrooms are on the lower level). Laundry room with second fridge. Private well with water softener (tested, potable water). Outdoor fire pit. Air conditioning. Starlink Wi-Fi.

Guests have full access to this bi-level home and property with the exception of our lower level storage/lock room.
Other things to note
The property is uniquely located close to either side of the peninsula beaches of Club House and Wanasing. While it is situated within the 'restricted zone' in the summer months, it offers a private, quiet, 1-acre setting away from the hubbub of 'the grid'. Red Wing Park beach is located a 6 minute walk from Forest Haven and other world class, white powder sand beaches are a short 10 minute bike ride.
There is a chariot attached to one of the beach bikes for ease of transport of beach chairs and other provisions. While there are a few other old assorted beach bikes provided, we recommend that you bring your own bikes for comfort and reliability.

Where I went to school: UBC Music Dept & UBC Sauder Business
I grew up in Vancouver where I met my wife Nancy at UBC. We traveled extensively around the world as musicians for 10 years before settling down in Winnipeg and having our two boys. We purchased this property to allow our kids to enjoy all there is to offer at this unique location of Victoria Beach 'restricted zone'. It is in this community they learned to swim, fish, bike, play tennis, golf and build sandcastle in the white powder sand beaches!
