2005 Triumph Tiger 955i
Description
2005 Triumph Tiger 955i
Up for grabs. A well used, but properly maintained Tiger.
43700 miles (70325km)
I'm the 3rd Canadian owner. I built it to run the Forestry trunk road and such. It's been caught napping at least 3 times by me, so a few scratches. Great hi-way and gravel tourer.
Not trying to screw anyone here, so full disclosure. Near the end of a 1000 km trip of fall 2017, it started burning oil. Pretty heavily. Ripped into it over the winter, and replaced everything we could, without splitting the case. So new gaskets in the whole top end, and scored the cylinders, but not deep enough to get to the rings.
I did 3000 miles in Aug, 2018, over 10 days. It stared burning oil again after about 1500 miles. I just kept it topped up, but it went through 1.5 litres of oil in the last 1500 miles.
Besides the oil burning, it runs terrific.
Loads of aftermarket and extra bits.
- custom tall seat (im 6'3"), and stock seat
-lowered Mustang pegs, stock ones also
- Palmer windscreen on bike, stock one too
- Hepco-Becker pannier racks, with Wolfman soft bags available. Have the matching stock bags and mounts. The rear top box is Triumph, but black
- proper heavy duty skid plate
- heated grips
- better headlight bulbs
- Triumph off road pipe on (nice growl, not too loud), with proper tune. Stock pipe too. Also have the tune ecu cable.
-Sasquatch wiring mod (for better battery life)
- Mitas E-07 tires front and rear, with 5000 miles on them. I'd say 60% left on the rear, and 75% on the front.
-New chain and sprockets in fall 2017, with the same 5000 miles on them
- Haynes manual
I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting
