Retired high school English teacher available now to tutor online. English 10, 20, 30 - Regular, Academic Challenge. ELA grades 7-9
I help students draft essays, CARTs (Critical Response & Analysis to Texts) and PRTs. I ensure writing meets the highest possible standard for their grade level. I provide students with writing strategies and techniques for formal writing required for high school and beyond. I guide students to THINK CRITICALLY, write INSIGHTFULLY, and provide strategies for reading comprehension and vocabulary acquisition.
Whether your child needs to improve their grades or aspires to achieve a standard of excellence, I will build their confidence and help them reach their greatest potential.
English can be enjoyable, rewarding, and a cornerstone to future success if he or she is willing to put in the effort.
My rates are reasonable @ $45/hr
