SPRING 2021
Description
SPRING 2021 Book in advance !
Deep root fertilization involves using an injector tool to provide a nutrient-rich solution to the roots of trees. The injection occurs right below the ground and can go as deep as 30-35 cm. beneath the soil, providing direct access to the roots. This process is done multiple times in a grid pattern for each tree.
This is especially beneficial for trees that aren’t thriving or seem to have trouble growing, but can be done on all trees on a regular basis.
When it comes to deep root fertilization, you should really only trust this process to an experienced professional. Because it involves injecting into the ground near your trees, a professional would be able determine root location, type of fertilizer to use and have knowledge of local irrigation and other services. At ATR ARBORIST SERVICES we provide deep root fertilization and a number of other tree services to our customers. We recommend deep root fertilization treatments once to twice a year for trees and shrubs in spring and fall. This applies to both healthy trees and trees with deficiencies such as disease, soil compaction or other defects.
The nutrient-rich solution includes fertilizer and other tree care necessities such as nitrogen, helping to keep the tree in better health even as the seasons change. This process provides fertilization to the deepest roots of the tree, unlike a surface application of fertilizer, which typically can’t go too far beneath the soil surface. Because of this, the roots & fungi may deteriorate from lack of nutrients. Deep root fertilization is implemented from growing season (April, May) to dormancy into late October or November depending on temperatures for that year. Be aware that proper watering is essential for the vitality in conjunction with any fertilization.
