Russian Blue / Chartreux female cat for rehoming

It pains me to have to write this but we’ve tried our absolute best and are at our wits end and just want what’s best for HER well being, as well as our other animals.
Please read; we took Scarlet in with the hopes of her being a companion for our affectionate male cat when he showed signs of loneliness. We unexpectedly found somebody who needed an urgent rehome/foster situation when considering it, we brought her in with the intention of them hopefully being buddies, seeing as her last owner stated she “needed a play friend” and so did ours. We did proper introductions and have been so patient…but we just cannot get her and our other cat to get along and we strongly feel she would either prefer to be an only cat, with another calm cat that isn’t also fighting for dominance or a smaller dog. We don’t know a lot about her history, but were assured she would do well as a play companion, though we suspect she may have been rehomed for other untold reasons.
She is otherwise healthy, very very loving and cuddly and sweet. She can be a sassy girl (will play bite if you rub her belly) but is not by any means aggressive towards people — she will do her own thing when she wants to be left alone, however she does get slightly territorial with our male when she’s in high play mode, which worries me to leave them alone. She enjoys watching cat TV, though it should be noted she has a strong interest in small animals/fish and should not be allowed access to them as she will try to get to them.
She likes to be up high, so please be willing to provide cat trees or access to height for her as this is a must!!
A little bit about Scarlet:
• She is spayed
• 3 years old (we don’t know her actual birthday)
• Chartreux/Russian Blue mix
• She is slightly overweight, but doesn’t seem to have any food allergies (currently on a digestive food because of our other cat and she likes it, but will do well with any kind)
• Litter trained (might benefit from a flat open faced box in a secluded area as she tends to favour flat boxes)
• Will cuddle you at night and purr like a freight train
• It seems she may not get along with male cats or other dominant natured cats (in her previous home, we were told she would antagonize the males, too. We hoped our loving male would help her come out of that schell, but it’s the opposite)
• Though, she is good with small dogs/puppies
• Indoor cat, has curiosities about outside so please have windows!
• Loves to chase fake plants and toys
• Will carry her toys around when she catches them
• I do not have any of her vet records, as the person we took her in from has since ghosted us and never sent them to us/responded whwn we requested them.
Note: she has an incredibly high play/hunting drive and would do well as a mouser or in a home that can provide her with lots of playtime and enrichment. Unfortunately, our other cat also has a high play drive and they just continuously clash past “just playing” and I have to separate them for their safety. Our other cat is much smaller than her and gets picked on - he’s been through a lot himself already (a rescue from a previous bad situation) and we don’t want him to continue to hide away and feel he needs to defend himself from her rambunctious nature, as he was picked on/abused in his past life. He mostly just tries to love on her and she won’t have it.
She likes to play chase, but that sometimes thena into her getting territorial with our male, leading to scraps. We strongly feel this could be because she doesn’t have enough room here or access to the space she truly would benefit from to run around. Our apartment isn’t overly huge, we realize this, so someone who has some room for her to run and jump would be beneficial for her.
We’ve decided that the best thing to do is rehome her again to someone who can give her the utmost attention, grace and love she deserves. I will have questions, as I intend for this to be her forever home and I want her to go somewhere she’ll be cherished. We love her to death and have tried to see if we could make it work, but we can tell she is unhappy and ultimately would benefit in a different environment. She truly will be an amazing companion for someone who can give her the proper time, attention and space/play in her daily routine.
A small rehoming fee may be in place to ensure that Scarlet goes to a loving home where she will thrive and be well loved/taken care of and not for profit. Serious inquiries only please — we genuinely don’t want her to go to someone who just wants her for the breed.
