We are currently constructing a 24-1 bedroom apartment building. 8 units will be fully accessible. 10 units have large dens. 16 units have balconies and the other 8 are the accessible units opening up into the courtyards. Property is 9 acres and each tenant will be provided a garden plot in the community garden so that they can grow their own vegetables if they wish.
Sizes of units vary from 700 sq ft to 940 sq ft.
ICF construction means significant reduction of noise transfer between units. There is concrete between floors and between units and out to the hallways also.
Each individual unit has a heat pump which provides heating and air conditioning. There is electric heating as a backup if temperatures go below -20C as heat pumps are less efficient then.
