Machine Operator
Description
Our Trenton client is looking for their next long term member for their team. This role start off as temporary but with A1 attendance and a good aptitude for the work, this can turn into your next permanent job and career.
Do you have at least 1 year of machine operations experience? Are you looking to work a '5' day work week starting relatively early in the morning?
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the smooth, safe and efficient operation of the assigned machine through the utilization and implementation of the standard operating procedures.
Shift is as follows: 4 day work week, 10 hours shifts. Mon: 4am-2:30pm, Tues-Thurs: 5am-3:30pm - 3 DAY WEEKENDS!!
If you are looking to work fewer than 5 days per week, this is not the position for you. We may have other roles more suitable to your desired hours.

Responsibilities
-Knowledge of product handling and the ability to differentiate between products
-Learn and adhere to the production is required during shift
-Set up and operate a minimum of three machines
-Machine troubleshooting
-Communicate with other stations regularly to determine coordination of product flow
-Follow established quality specifications and accurate completion of documentation as required
-Work in a professional manner within station and with other stations
-Report safety and quality concerns with your supervisor
Qualifications
-Minimum 1 year machine operations experience with ability to operate the equipment safely
-Reliable and punctual
-Ability to make judgment decisions based on activities in other departments
-Knowledge to perform continuous quality checks of product, looking for deviations
-Team player and be able to effectively develop and maintain working relationships with a variety of internal contacts
-Ability to use a pallet jack
-Fluent in communicating in English (reading, writing and verbal)
-Good hand / eye coordination
-Ability to work with minimal supervision
-Able to adapt and work in a continuously changing environment
-Willingness to work overtime and on weekends if required
