Looking to kick start your career in the construction industry?
The Foundations for Trades program, in BRANTFORD, provides FREE training to individuals looking to work in construction. Participants of this program:
• Receive 5 weeks of hands-on training with Conestoga College, learning the basics of print reading, carpentry, plumbing and electrical
• Obtain a College Certificate in Construction Foundations from Conestoga College
• Gain certifications in WHMIS, First Aid CPR, Working at Heights, and many more!
• Complete a PAID 2-4-week job placement in construction, most leading to Full-time positions
• Learn how to target their resume, practice interviews, training in imperial versus metric measuring
This program is completely free to participants who are:
• 18 years + (if 18, a high school diploma is required, if over 18 no high school diploma required)
• Are unemployed or working less than 20 hours a week
• Interested in pursuing work in construction
