Food Truck / Commercial Kitchen
Description
2002 GMC T6500, Cat diesel, non-slip aluminum floor, fully stainless from floor to ceiling on both sides and back wall, all appliances are stainless too. Fully certified for the Northern Health Region as a mobile kitchen. Propane range has full size commercial oven, top left has two burners, top right is 24"x24" flat top, shelf behind range. Propane char broiler 24"x24". Full size three sink commercial sink with right hand drain board, central outlet with overhead wand. Stainless 24" wide prep fridge on wheels with upper tilt access and lower swing door access. Brand new full height single width glass door fridge will be installed. Option to have brand new glass door freezer at extra cost. Propane instant water heater can provide unlimited hot water at extreme temperatures if desired. Grey tank is exactly the same size as the potable tank - for certification in any district other than Northern Health it may require a small additional tank to have excess grey capacity - there is room in front of the rear wheel on the same side as the existing grey tank to do this. Unsure of capacity, over 60 gallons - it would meet our needs for two days of continuous breakfast, lunch and dinner cooking at a busy music festival (I can measure and calculate if desired). Water is pumped using standard RV style 12 volt pump. Large propane tank professionally installed to feed all propane appliances, simple to attach to external bottles if desired to extend life at one location. Honda 7000 gasoline generator with remote start attached on one side of the truck - will need new carburetor float valve (common Honda issue). Small solar panel on the roof to maintain batteries. Full size exhaust fan and stainless filter above entire cooking area, missing one small section of grill for the filter (easily replaceable). One 40lb deep fryer - but not legal in all areas without certified fire suppression system - we mostly used this for heating water to hold hot food in stainless trays above it. There is a stand in the front of the truck built for a full size espresso machine, we had a propane lever style machine mounted there (water and propane hookups there, but machine not included and stand and associated shelving can be removed easily). One serving window, large swing out rear door, one rolling main entry door. Truck has less than 250,000km, tires are good, batteries will need replacing. It is a day-cab style and has room behind the seats for extra gear, cups, supplies, etc. The roof over the cooking area is a translucent style which is very nice for working under as lights are almost never necessary during daylight hours - we installed 12v LED overhead lights for night use. One small hand wash sink at the rear of the vehicle beside the rear swing door. Lots of room for additional shelving, storage, fridges, counters, whatever you may want to install. Our farm stickers will be removed upon sale.
We operated this 'family' food truck for many years at our local farmers market as well as annually at many regional music festivals. It is a lot of work but we really enjoyed it and can be quite profitable depending on your menu and drive. Has not been used since before COVID for farmers market or festivals, and we are working on an on farm store and cafe as we are ready to have our customers come to us!
