Teaching English and improving educational facilities on Bali Island, January 23 - February 3, 2023.
Bali Island is popular as the island of gods and is very famous for its culture and nature attractions. The project takes place in the western part of Bali. Unlike in the east where tourism is the main source of income, in the west there’s more rice farms and plantations, and fishing is a major activity. The busy seaport in Gilimanuk is the gateway that connects Bali and Java island through the Bali sea. Most of the area is mountainous and consists of primary monsoon forest. The West Bali National Park has a total area of 19,000 ha and is an important place for conserving rare and endangered plants, birds and animals.
We organize the international volunteer project to support schools in the western part of the island. We aim to meet the need of local students and teachers for improved communication and opportunities to interact with people from other countries. The schools provide basic compulsory education in math, languages, social studies, science, art and music. School hours are from 7 am to 1 pm, Monday to Saturday.
The volunteers will teach the students basic English and introduce some English kids songs. They will also do simple renovations in the school, such as making bookshelves for the library and painting classrooms. The volunteers will be also involved in extracurricular activities with the children like cultural exchange, playing, sport, art, scouting, music and traditional dance.
The international volunteers will be introduced to the Indonesian culture and customs in general, with a special focus on the local culture particularities in Bali. Some cultural visits are also foreseen.
During free time, the volunteers will have the chance to visit diverse and exciting attractions in Jembrana and Bali, which are popular all over the world. The volunteers may visit beaches, temples, handicraft making centers and traditional markets.

I am seeking the opinions of nurses and physicians on digital technologies that are used for health care. I am particularly interested in conversational agents, automated software programs that are designed to talk with people using text or speech. Recently, researchers and companies have started developing conversational agents to deliver health care and encourage healthy behaviors ("virtual nurses," "virtual doctors," etc.). I want to learn more about how nurses and physicians view these programs. You do not need to be familiar with these programs to participate; most participants will be unfamiliar with these programs before the study.

While isolated from others, many people are using smartphones to keep in touch and engage with others.
