Psychology researchers are interested in examining different motivations that people have for consenting to sexual situations during which they engage in sexual compliance - undesired but consensual sexual activity. Again, this involves situations where you agreed to participate (consented) to sexual activity, despite not desiring it. Those who have not ever been sexually compliant can still participate in this study. Participation will require answering some questions about yourself (e.g., demographic questions such as your age, ethnicity, and sexual orientation), about your personality, and about your sexual history and experiences. Navicare/SoinsNavi is a patient navigation centre for children and youth with health care needs and their families in New Brunswick. A key component of the centre is our patient and family advisory council (PFAC), which consists of 7 volunteer members who advise the patient navigator and research team, as well as collaborates on special projects that arise from discussions with key stakeholders. Examples of projects led by the PFAC include a Journey Map, which is a visual aid developed to assist families with navigating the system from the moment of diagnosis; peer support videos that share stories about navigating the system; and a workshop for care providers and other caregivers of children with health care needs. PFAC members are often invited to participate in other related workshops, public outreach events, and conferences.
NaviCare/SoinsNavi is looking for a dynamic individual to join the PFAC. The position is a one (1) year renewable term beginning January 4, 2020. We are seeking someone with significant lived experience receiving services within the healthcare system as a youth with health needs, or as a parent, guardian, or other involved family member. I have a group you might be interested in learning more about low carb, the ketogenic way of eating & living as well as fasting! I share science that is valid in my group and I have found a great way to leverage our biology. My husband and I were working at boosting our health 4 years ago when we were our heaviest and felt tired every day, and have had some really great life (and body) changes since incorporating therapeutic ketones & LCHF (low carb, high fat) into our lifestyle! now he is 10 - 12 % body fat and me 2 lbs from my goals as well as lower body fat. We have it dialled in and I became a health coach and I really want to help others to learn too. Come on by to learn more about it, as well as try out some yummy therapeutic ketone drinks & some of our favourite LCHF snacks! Bring a friend, the more the merrier! https://www.facebook.com/groups/metaboliccoach/
