We have named her Latte. She is a bit timid still but has never struck out of defensiveness, she just tenses up and breathes heavily when first being handled. She will get used to handling in no time, and we are still regularly handling her to help with this. She is eating well on frozen thawed rat fuzzies and has shed a couple times.
Ball Pythons are a great beginner species that take to handling and interaction well and don’t get too large, but they are a nice robust species that isn’t too fragile either. We have named her Cortado or Tado for short (She has two very similar looking siblings so names help to identify her from the others). Tado is a small girl because she came from a small egg but she has proven to be just as strong and healthy as her clutch mates, she was also the first to hatch! She is currently weighing at 140g but is growing at the same rate as her siblings. She is eating well on frozen thawed rat fuzzies and has shed a couple times. Red eared slider. Her name is poppy. She's roughly 30 years old. So another 10-30 years left with correct care. Got her after my other turtles were stolen but due to work getting busier I don't have to correct time to dedicate to her and it isn't fair. She comes with 100 gal tank, stand, external canister filter, heater, basking dock, and light. The picture of her tank set up was temporary after getting her a new tank and correct filters and docks. Hi everyone,
I’m looking to rehome my 2yr Ball Python.
I got him two years ago from the reptile store, he is super healthy and eating pre-kill larger small rats or smaller medium rats (you can make judgement by looking at the thickest part of his body and that what you can go by too) . I prefer to feed him pre-kill as feeding frozen they do not receive all the nutrients from frozen as they should be receiving and getting pre-kill allows him to getting all the vitamins and nutrients he needs. Creatures Pet Store does pre-kill and that’s where I have been going the entire time. He is fed once every 2-3 weeks , 3 weeks is max.
I had used aspen bedding previously but found that it would get into the water dish all day and would have to clean out water dish every few hours to make sure there’s clean water , so I’ve just been using paper towel for the last few weeks and seems to be working well. Also makes cleanup easier too!
I would prefer someone who already knows about Ball Pythons or snakes in general as he is pretty strong and can get a little mean sometimes. He doesn’t mind being held for short periods of time until he doesn’t want to be held and that’s where he will turn a little mean , and has struck at me twice. So I try not to hold him for super long periods of time, 30mins -1 hr max.Overall, I want him to go to a good home and just want him to be well taken care of like I have been doing. I can not have him anymore as I work full time and in school full time and also have 2 dogs. So I find it unfair that I am not spending as much time with him anymore or at least bonding with him more often.
I am looking for $200 as so I know he is going to a good home, and he does come with his tank and supplies ; light, heating pad, watering dish, feeding tongs.
I do not have a vehicle unfortunately so he would need to be picked up.
