1932 Ford Model B, 4cylinder, Barn Find
Description
1932 Ford Model B, 4cylinder, Barn Find. It was last licensed in 1955, I have an ownership in my name. 52,861 Miles, fairly complete car. It seems like the previous owner did some work on it by painting it Green, roof insert, interior kit, but never finished it, then stored it behind his Esso station for many decades in a shed.
Engine turns over, it’s a B engine with the fuel pump, but has a Model A distributor. The exhaust manifold has been modified for dual exhaust. It still had Green antifreeze in it and the radiator looks good.
The body is decent overall. The rear wheel wells are rusty and need repair. The rear floor has a riveted patch on the driver side. The sub rails, rockers, sills, rear panel, door bottoms etc are good despite the surface rust, they are solid. The rear fenders are rusty where they attach on the body. Front fenders have had some repairs. The windshield frame is missing the bottom. Hood, grill and grill shell are nice.
The interior has an old green vinyl kit that was never fully installed. The seats are the originals with the Green covers on top. All garnish mouldings are there. Sun visors are there. The dash has a Waltham 80mph speedometer.
It’s rolling on 1935 16” wires, it has an 18” spare still on it and I found 4 more 18’s that come with it. All five Ford Model B caps are present.
The brakes are still mechanical but I removed the shoes (they come with it) so it rolls and steers easy.
It was featured in Canadian Hot Rods Magazine documenting the story of finding it, pulling it out into the daylight and bringing home. An issue will come with it. I still have not washed it, you can still see the dust line on the hood where it has a blanket on it.
It may have looked a bit cooler if I sanded it down and primed it or sprayed it satin black, but I left it the way I found it, so the next step is for the new owner.
I have loads of pictures to help you decide if your too far away to check it out in person.
I bought it to build it, but having it in storage for the last three years, I think you need to build it!
Asking 19,000 Canadian. Clean ownership/title in my name with the original vin number on the bellhousing and it’s titled as a 1932 Ford 2dr. It’s located near Brockville Ontario Canada, close to the US border. I can assist in loading for shipping. The car is able to stay here for an agreed amount of time until shipping or pick up can be arranged.
Thanks for you time!
