Asian guy who shared his umbrella with me summer 2016 downtown Calgary
Description
This was such an unexpected, simple yet beautiful experience. Summer of 2016, downtown Calgary, late afternoon. I was walking to the train station to catch the Saddletowne train, about to cross the street to get to the train. As I was waiting it started raining really hard and I had no umbrella. You were waiting in front of me too and walked over and shared your umbrella with me. I don't remember exactly what I was wearing, but it could have been a casual, short blue dress. I'm Asian, 5'4, 125lbs, 31 years old at the time but looked a bit younger, long dark hair in a ponytail, not wearing much makeup that day and had freckles, if you noticed. You were about 5'6, black hair, not too short. I found you very attractive. As we started crossing to get to the train, you put your arm around me. I felt so supported and safe with you despite us being total strangers. It just felt right. I wanted to snuggle up to you even more, loved being next to you.
We barely said anything to each other except how crazy it was that it rained that much suddenly. You were so gentle and kind. I could tell I was attracted to you, which is why I was kinda shy. When we got on the train together, you didn't sit next to me and start trying to flirt and stuff like a lot of guys would. That was refreshing and just made me like you even more! I was trying to wipe my face and you offered me napkins, actually the rest whatever you had in that blue pack of napkins. I kept that by the way. Still have it. That's all I have left of that encounter. You rode the train till Marlborough station, I believe. I got off at Rundle. We made no conversation during the ride. Maybe it was just a random act of kindness, one of those lovely experiences you have with strangers you'll never see again. If by slim chance you're reading this, I'd love to see you again :)
