We are looking for passionate Tandoori Chefs/Cooks at our Cambridge location.
Job Description
• Must have good knowledge of North Indian and Pakistani cuisine.
• Experience in cooking with a tandoor, an Indian-style oven, using special
sauces and spices.
• Prepare food for service.
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely
fashion.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with co workers and
customers.
Skills/ Requirements
• High school diploma or GED.
• EXPERIENCE IS MUST.
• Must have knowledge of Indian food and spices
• Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced Restaurant environment.
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Language: Proficiency in English, Hindi and/or Punjabi
• Proven cooking experience with tandoors and Pakistani/Indian cuisine.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients,
equipment and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned orders.
• Expertise in Kebabs, Grills, Kadai's etc.
• Anyone who is looking for long term and a permanent position.
