Let’s be honest—installing traditional security cameras is a pain. Running cables, hiring an electrician, and dealing with monthly subscription fees is the opposite of fun. So, when I got my hands on the ANRAN Solar Security Camera, I was skeptical. Could a completely wireless, solar-powered camera actually deliver reliable protection? After weeks of testing, I’m ready to share my unfiltered experience.
Design and First Impressions: Chunky but Purposeful
Out of the box, the ANRAN doesn't win any beauty contests. It's a chunky plastic dome with antennas and a separate solar panel—function over form, through and through . However, this bulkiness actually works in its favor. The visible camera is a clear deterrent; you can see it from the street, and the spotlights are noticeable at night . It’s designed to be seen, and for security, that’s a good thing.
The build quality feels decent for the price point, and the IP66 weatherproof rating suggests it’s built to withstand Singapore’s unpredictable tropical weather .

Key Features: What Makes This Camera Stand Out
The ANRAN packs a lot of features into its price point. Here’s what caught my attention.
Crystal Clear Day and Night Vision
This camera, available in 3MP (2K) and 5MP variants, delivers impressive video quality . The 2K resolution is a significant step up from standard 1080p, offering sharp detail suitable for identifying faces or license plates . The 110° wide-angle lens covers more ground than standard lenses, while the 355° pan and tilt capability means you can virtually eliminate blind spots .
Night vision is where this camera shines—literally. Four powerful spotlights enable full-color night vision, a feature usually found on more expensive models . You can choose between standard black-and-white IR night vision or the more detailed color mode when motion is detected.
The PIR Human Detection: Does It Really Work?
The "PIR Human Detection" is a key selling point, and I’m happy to report that it mostly delivers. Unlike basic motion sensors that trigger for everything—leaves, shadows, passing cars—the ANRAN uses Passive Infrared technology to detect heat signatures . This means it can distinguish between a person and a swaying branch or even a pet.
The result is a dramatic 95% reduction in false alerts . The system is smart enough to ignore animals under 55 pounds and learns your routine over time . When it does detect a person, you get an instant alert in about 0.3 seconds . Is it perfect? No—I still got the occasional false alarm from cars or large animals, but it's a massive improvement over traditional systems .
Truly Wireless: Solar Power and Battery Life
The "no wires" promise is real. You can install this camera anywhere within range of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network . The integrated or separate solar panel trickle-charges the battery, providing "permanent use" and eliminating the need to take it down for charging .
The battery life is rated to last up to three years with proper maintenance . During my test, it stayed consistently topped up, even with only a few hours of indirect sunlight . A word of caution: if you're constantly live-streaming or using the PTZ controls, you might drain the battery faster than the panel can replenish, especially in winter months . For standard motion-activated use, it’s a reliable, self-sustaining system.
The Setup and ANRAN View App Experience
Installation is a DIY-friendly affair . The package includes everything you need, and most people can have it up and running in under an hour.
Installation and Pairing
Mounting the camera and positioning the solar panel for optimal sun exposure is straightforward. The process is simple: mount the camera, scan the QR code with the "ANRAN View" app, and connect it to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network . It’s a "scan and go" experience.
The App and Remote Access
The ANRAN View app is the command center for your camera. It is user-friendly, responsive, and offers robust functionality .
Live View: Streams in crisp 2K resolution with minimal lag. PTZ controls are responsive and easy to use.
Two-Way Audio: The built-in microphone and speaker allow you to have real-time conversations. This is perfect for greeting delivery drivers or using the 90dB siren to scare off unwanted visitors.
Activity Zones and Scheduling: You can customize which areas trigger motion alerts and set "quiet hours" to avoid notifications during expected periods of activity .
Sharing: You can easily grant access to family members, giving them control over the camera as well .
Storage Options: Local vs. Cloud
The ANRAN offers flexibility with storage.
Local SD Card Storage
The camera supports microSD cards up to 128GB for local storage . This gives you about two weeks of motion-activated recordings, and you can access and download clips directly from the app. This is a great budget-friendly option and saves you from any monthly fees .
Optional Cloud Storage
For those who want added security and accessibility, the ANRAN also offers cloud storage plans. These plans provide remote access, data redundancy, and extended retention periods. While cloud services aren't free, the system still works great without them, making local storage an excellent default .
Is the ANRAN Solar Camera Worth It?
The ANRAN Solar Security Camera offers an impressive package for anyone who wants a no-hassle, wire-free security solution. It excels at what it’s designed to do: providing reliable, self-sustaining home surveillance with smart features that actually work. The PIR human detection is a game-changer, and the solar charging means you can set it and forget it.
While the design is bulky and the app isn't as polished as bigger brands, these are minor compromises given the significant savings on installation and monthly fees . If you want a plug-and-play security system that keeps an eye on your home without needing a constant power supply and without binding you to a subscription, the ANRAN is a smart and effective choice.
Rating: 4.5/5

I tested the LS VISION 12MP 60X Optical Zoom Solar Security Camera for 30 days. From 4G/WiFi backup to dual screens and auto-tracking, here is why this is the ultimate no-electricity surveillance solution.
Let me be honest. I live on a small hobby farm at the end of a dirt road. My biggest security headache wasn’t break-ins; it was power. Running trenching for electricity to the back gate would cost a fortune. Standard battery cams died every three days, and Wi-Fi? Forget it—the router is 400 feet away.
So, when I saw the LS VISION 12MP 60X Optical Zoom Solar Security Camera Outdoor 4G/WiFi Dual Screen Two Way Talk Auto Tracking CCTV Camera Ubox App, I rolled my eyes. That name is a mouthful. But after 30 days of testing, I’m eating my words. This isn't just a camera; it's a complete perimeter patrol that runs on sunshine.

Here is my no-BS, human-task review of whether this solar beast actually works.
First Impressions: Built Like a Tank
Unboxing the LS VISION unit, the first thing you notice is the weight. This isn't flimsy plastic. The solar panel is attached via a sturdy metal hinge, and the dual antennae (for 4G and WiFi) scream "industrial." The dual-screen design mentioned in the title confused me at first. It turns out the camera head has two distinct lenses: one wide-angle for context and one ultra-telephoto for the 60X zoom. It looks like a pair of robotic binoculars.
The Setup (Ubox App): I dreaded the app setup. But the Ubox App (available on iOS/Android) actually guides you like a GPS. You scan the QR code, insert a MicroSD card (supports up to 128GB), and choose your connection. Since I have no power, I used the 4G LTE SIM card slot. Within 4 minutes, I had live video.
Feature Deep Dive (The "Wow" Factors)
Let’s break down the specs that actually matter for real-world use.
1. The 60X Optical Zoom (Not Digital)
Most cameras advertise "digital zoom," which just pixelates a face into a blurry blob. This LS VISION has optical zoom. I stood 300 yards away by the oak tree. Zooming in 60X, I could read the brand name on my own shirt sleeve and see a spider web on the fence post. For identifying license plates or faces across a large property, this is a game-changer. The 12MP sensor means even when you crop in, the image stays sharp at 4000x3000 resolution.
2. True Solar Independence
The built-in solar panel and rechargeable battery pack are the heart of this unit. During my test (mixed sun and clouds), the battery stayed between 85% and 100%. The significance here is massive: zero wiring. You mount it on a pole, tree, or wall facing south, and it runs indefinitely. No electrician. No junction boxes. No monthly battery swaps.
3. Dual Screen (Wide + Telephoto)
This is a unique security trick. The Ubox App shows two live feeds simultaneously: one from the wide-angle lens (showing the whole yard) and one from the zoom lens (showing the specific target). If the auto-tracking kicks in, the wide screen shows why it moved, and the telephoto shows who it is. It eliminates the "where did the camera point?" frustration.
4. 4G + WiFi Dual Connectivity
I bought this for the 4G, but the WiFi backup is smart. When you are home, it uses your free WiFi to save data. When the WiFi drops or you drive away, it instantly switches to the 4G SIM. For remote barns, construction sites, or cabins, this redundancy means you never lose the feed.
Usage Rules (Read This Before Buying)
To make this camera work for you instead of against you, follow these hard-learned rules:
Rule #1: Sunlight Direction. The solar panel is not a trickle charger. You need 4-6 hours of direct sunlight. Mounting it on a north-facing wall under a tree will kill the battery in winter. Use the Ubox app’s battery monitor—if it drops below 20% for three days, move the camera.
Rule #2: SIM Card Selection. For 4G mode, do not use a standard phone plan. The camera sends motion alerts and video clips. You need an IoT (Internet of Things) SIM card or a prepaid data plan with at least 2GB/month. LS VISION doesn't include a SIM, so buy one locally.
Rule #3: Auto-Tracking Sensitivity. The "Auto Tracking" feature is powerful but trigger-happy. Out of the box, it will track a leaf blowing in the wind or a rabbit. Go into the Ubox App settings and set the "Human Detection" to High and the object size to Medium. This stops false alarms.
Rule #4: Two-Way Talk Etiquette. The built-in mic and speaker are loud (good for scaring off a coyote or a delivery thief). However, there is a 1.5-second delay. Don't try to have a conversation; use short commands like "Please leave the package" or "Police have been called."
The Significance: Why This Camera Matters
We are moving toward decentralized security. The old model was: buy a wired DVR system, pay a company $50/month for monitoring, or rely on fragile doorbell cams.
The LS VISION 12MP 60X Solar Camera represents the "off-grid standard." It solves the three eternal complaints of outdoor security:
Power problem? Solved by solar.
Connectivity problem? Solved by 4G/WiFi failover.
Identification problem? Solved by 60X optical zoom.
For rural homeowners, farmers, construction foremen, and even remote cabin owners, this is the first camera that feels like a dedicated security guard rather than a toy. The dual-screen auto-tracking means you don't just record a crime; you actively follow the subject.
The Gripes (Nobody is Perfect)
I have to be fair. There are three downsides:
Size: This is a big device. It looks like a professional PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) camera. It is not discreet.
App Complexity: The Ubox App has deep menus. You will need 20 minutes to learn where the motion detection zones and alarm schedules are.
Night Vision Range: IR night vision is good up to 100ft, but the color night vision requires a tiny bit of ambient light. In total darkness, stick to black and white mode.
The Verdict: Should You Buy It?
If you need a camera within 50 feet of a power outlet, buy a cheap Wyze cam. But if you need to watch a pasture, a driveway gate, a loading dock without electricity, or a remote hunting cabin?
Buy the LS VISION 12MP 60X Zoom Solar Security Camera.
It does exactly what it claims: runs on sun, connects via cell tower, and lets you read a newspaper from a football field away. The dual-screen auto-tracking is the future of CCTV. For
200
–
200–300 (depending on sales), you are getting professional-grade surveillance without the trenching or the electric bill.
Just remember the sunlight rules, and you will never wonder "who was at the gate" again.
Rating: 4.6/5
Best for: Rural properties, farms, construction sites, RVs.
Skip if: You have easy power access or need a hidden spy cam.
Disclosure: I purchased this camera for my own property. No one paid for this review. I just really like not changing batteries in the rain.

Today’s drivers expect more than basic video capture—they want crystal-clear footage, reliable parking protection, GPS tracking, night visibility, and app connectivity. The DDPAI Z60 Pro 4K Dash Cam Auto Dashcam Front GPS Car Camera for Dual SONY Sensor WiFi ADAS Night Vision DVR Video Recorder aims to deliver exactly that.
After reviewing its specifications, feature set, and real-world user feedback, the DDPAI Z60 Pro positions itself as a premium dash cam for drivers who prioritize image quality, safety, and connected features.
First Impressions
The DDPAI Z60 Pro immediately stands out because of its flagship-level recording hardware. Unlike entry-level dash cams that struggle with detail and night footage, this model combines 4K front recording, Dual Sony STARVIS sensors, HDR processing, GPS tracking, Wi-Fi connectivity, ADAS functions, and optional 4G cloud features into one package.
The design feels modern and practical, featuring a compact body and a built-in display for quick access and review.
Whether you commute daily, drive for rideshare services, or want stronger vehicle security while parked, the Z60 Pro is designed to cover multiple use cases.
Key Features of DDPAI Z60 Pro
1. Ultra-Clear 4K Front Recording
Video clarity remains the most important feature of any dash cam.
The DDPAI Z60 Pro records in 3840 × 2160 4K UHD at 30fps, while also supporting 3K recording at 60fps for smoother motion capture during fast driving situations.
This level of detail makes a noticeable difference when:
Reading license plates
Capturing accident evidence
Recording road conditions
Reviewing driving incidents
Drivers who travel frequently on highways will appreciate the improved frame capture during high-speed motion.
2. Dual Sony STARVIS Sensors for Superior Image Quality
One of the strongest selling points is the camera hardware.
The Z60 Pro uses:
Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor (front)
Sony IMX662 sensor (rear)
Combined with HDR processing, these sensors improve exposure balance and maintain visible detail across bright and dark environments.
Compared with traditional dash cams, footage appears sharper and more controlled under difficult lighting.
3. NightVIS 2.0 with AI ISP Enhancement
Night driving is where many dash cams fail.
DDPAI addresses this with NightVIS 2.0 and AI image processing technology, helping brighten darker scenes while reducing excessive glare from headlights. The AI enhancement works especially during supported parking monitoring modes.
For urban drivers and long-distance travelers, this feature adds confidence after sunset.
4. GPS and Multi-System Navigation Support
The built-in positioning system supports:
GPS
GLONASS
Galileo
BDS
QZSS
This means driving footage can include route and speed information for better trip documentation.
GPS logging becomes particularly valuable when:
Insurance claims are required
Route history matters
Fleet management is involved
5. Fast Wi-Fi and Mobile App Connectivity
Transferring large 4K files can become frustrating on slower systems.
The Z60 Pro includes:
5GHz Wi-Fi Turbo
Bluetooth quick connection
DDPAI mobile app integration
The system is designed to speed up playback, downloading, and sharing recorded footage. DDPAI reports significantly improved transfer speeds over standard 2.4GHz setups.
6. ADAS Smart Driving Assistance
The integrated ADAS 2.0 introduces practical driving alerts.
Functions include:
Forward vehicle movement reminders
Driver fatigue notifications
Customizable safety assistance
These features are not replacements for attentive driving but can act as helpful reminders during longer journeys.
Usage Rules and Best Practices
To get the best performance from the DDPAI Z60 Pro, proper usage matters.
Use a High-Endurance Memory Card
The camera supports up to 512GB microSD storage, and U3-rated cards are recommended for stable recording.
Avoid standard low-end cards because continuous 4K recording creates heavy write loads.
Position the Camera Correctly
Install the front camera:
Behind the rear-view mirror
Without blocking driver visibility
With a level horizon
Correct positioning improves video quality and ADAS accuracy.
Enable Loop Recording
Always confirm:
Continuous recording is active
Emergency recording sensitivity is balanced
Storage formatting is completed regularly
Some users reported setup-related confusion when loop recording or parking monitoring was not configured correctly.
Use Hardwire Installation for Parking Mode
If 24/7 parking monitoring is important, pair the device with the intelligent hardwire kit to unlock advanced parked-car recording functions.
Real-World Experience and Performance
Community feedback has generally highlighted several strengths.
Users consistently praised:
Sharp front-facing 4K footage
Improved night clarity
Fast file transfers
Reliable operation under heat
Several owners also noted that the supercapacitor design felt more dependable than battery-powered alternatives for long-term use.
However, there are some trade-offs.
The rear camera records at 1080p rather than matching the front 4K resolution, which may disappoint users expecting identical quality from both views. Some users also mentioned that the mobile app experience could be improved.
Why the DDPAI Z60 Pro Matters
Dash cams are no longer optional accessories for many drivers.
The DDPAI Z60 Pro delivers value through:
Better accident evidence
Improved parking security
Night-time visibility
Faster access to recordings
Connected monitoring features
Driving assistance technology
For drivers seeking a future-ready dash camera rather than a basic recorder, this model offers a strong balance between premium imaging and smart functionality.
Final Verdict
The DDPAI Z60 Pro 4K Dash Cam is a feature-rich recording system aimed at drivers who want more than simple video capture.
Its strongest advantages are the Dual Sony sensors, 4K clarity, HDR performance, NightVIS technology, GPS integration, and high-speed wireless connectivity. While the rear camera resolution and app experience leave room for refinement, the overall package feels thoughtfully designed and highly capable.
Rating: 4.6/5
If video quality, safety monitoring, and connected driving features are your priorities, the DDPAI Z60 Pro is a compelling dash cam worth considering.

Beautiful 1957 Rolleiflex T. Zeiss Tessar 3.5 taking lens produces beautiful sharp and contrasty black and white negatives. Recent CLA. All speeds are accurate, B thru 1/500. Viewfinder image is bright and clear. Mirror is in excellent condition, no scratches or cracks. Film advance through 12 frames is smooth, and developed film shows negatives evenly spaced, no overlapping or large gaps between images. Shutter release locks to prevent accidental exposures. A metal Kodak hood is included for the taking lens. It mounts securely and removes easily. Overall this camera is a very solid performer, and will produce very sharp and contrasty 6x6 black and white negatives, and a pleasure to shoot with.
Minor balsam separation on rear element of taking lens, but has not affected my black and white image quality. Very small dent on rear top corner of flip up lid, but has no effect on any operations.

The Tiffen 49mm Skylight 1-A Filter is a general use filter with a slight pink tint to help improve overall color accuracy and clarity. The light pink coloration helps to reduce the overall bluish cast of daylight and is especially effective when photographing landscapes and in shade.
The Sky 1A filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.
Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting to precision metal rings.
Helps to improve general color accuracy and clarity when photographing outdoors in daylight and shade.
