The skin covering this canoe is ballistic nylon and it is tough....so tough that you can pound on it with the claws of a hammer and not put a hole in it. No worries about dog nails poking through it either..
The coating is flexible so bumping into rocks etc. won't crack the finish nor put a hole.
This is one tough canoe.

All hand-tied with artificial sinew. This makes the boat extremely light to lift onto your car or truck, PLUS as tough as nails.
You could even pound it with the claws of a hammer and not put a hole in it.
Great boat to go fishing (even fly fishing to get to those hard spots) with the family, take the dog or set up a tripod to take pictures.
Will hold approx. 600 lbs
The beauty of it is that it is so light to cartop compared to a regular boat of all wood. (1/3 the weight).

Thunderbird For Sale Dodo #117 (previously J-Bird) is located at RVYC Jericho in Vancouver BC. $ 5,000 CAD This is an awesome boat that needs a new home.
