27' Sailboat. 26', 10" at the waterline. 2001 Survey Pictures attached. Custom built from a Vancouver 27 mold in Vancouver, 1972. Currently no inboard engine as the 1GM was obsolete, but the prop, shaft, and stuffing box are all still in place and in good working order. Currently has two outboard kickers on the transom and two identical 5hp Mercury engines. One is brand new, less than 40hours, with wide angle prop and 5 Amp charging for the batteries. Pull start, starts every time. Solid Boat. Double glassed, foam core haul, plywood core deck, heavily built. Lots of extras. All ready to go, new 120% Red sail jib, red sail main, almost new. Lots of old sails. Cutter rigged. Needs new dodger and sail covers and some top deck wood work. No leaks, no rot. Foam core is the yellow foam, will never rot, solid. Replaced through hauls and checked 3 years ago. Needs new bottom paint soon. Hauled, sanded, painted with three coats in Sydney 3 years ago. Ask me anything. Can sail it wherever in the gulf, but must be viewed on Lasqueti Island, Scottie Bay. Let's face it, those famous back-road trips in our early 20s were notoriously disorganized, but we shrugged off the forgotten stoves and sleeping pads like only grossly intoxicated youth could. Although fondly remembered, waking up from a blackout drunk on a bed of jagged rubble is an unacceptable outcome in the dignified and structured life you have transitioned into. Plus, anything less than a proper foam mattress is liable to leave you with enduring spinal issues. no one needs that, even for an evening by the lake.Fortunately, people just like us came up with the perfect solution. This camperized van has a GIANT rooftop tent with a built in mattress. Its comfortable enough my friends ask to sleep in it when they come to visit my house. "ROBOTZ" comes loaded with everything you need to bug-out without having to expend a crouton's worth of energy on planning and organizing gear. When you need to escape what-ever is making you crazy, getting from the couch to the van is the most taxing aspect of making the right choice. Take the keys and go. The back hatch and the tent create rain cover for cooking or chilling, because the tent is remarkably waterproof. Its made of thicker canvas, and while we have all been swindled by MEC into thinking that ultra-thin nylon is what quality tents are made from, I have been through some quality precipitation in this tent and all my stuff stayed bone dry. it wicks away moisture and breaths vapor off back into the outside air as you sleep. When it rains on a MEC nylon tent, no matter how good it is, everything ends up damp because it is vapor sealed and condensation happens inside the tent, dripping down the walls into all the clothes you planned to wear in a few hours. The last clean shirt and underwear turned from a beacon of hope to the source of despair. No, that modern techno-chemical atrocity is behind you now. Next time you roll, you roll in style. You'll know the cool vibe you get while driving ROBOTZ is real because everyone you encounter will confer upon you excessive attention and admiration. This car is so much fun to drive. The 300SD is known for having an engine that will outlast us all. It's only had 3 owners (I am the third) and comes with all the receipts since 1984. Recently: oil change, transmission fluids, new belts, new rear tires and a brand new battery.
Has been a super reliable daily driving car. Very low mileage considering its age. Great for daily use or buff it up and get Classic plates for it. It has a kill switch and car cover plus two spare tires.
