I have been playing drums for over 20 years. During that time, I've been fortunate to tour Canada and record a number of albums.
Over the last couple of years, I have started working as a session drummer, creating both programmed drum tracks and recording acoustic drum tracks. I find myself working mainly on rock/hard rock, pop, folk, singer-songwriter styles of music.

The expanded live room has been fully tested and acoustically treated and is capable of many configurations. Piano trio (piano, bass, drums), or any combination of electric instruments is doable. There is vocal or guitar/bass amp isolation available. Acoustic guitar sounds amazing in the room!
The studio has a great collection of microphones for any application. The flagship Telefunken ELA-251 M has an incredible sonic presence and is known as “THE VOCAL MIC”. Then there is the Neumann U-87 ai that sounds great on anything. The Neumann TLM 103 and two Neumann KM-184's are all fine microphones. Two vintage (1970's) Sennheiser MD 421s, the AKG 112 D, and the usual Shure SM57s all sound great on the drum kit.

My name is Dearian Seepersad, I'm a Music Teacher, Performer, and Composer. For the last 5 years I've been performing all over the GTA, including: festivals; pride, multi-cultural, afro-fest, private functions, restaurants, bars, and producing my local show while producing tracks for local Toronto artists. Too often, I hear about beginner students horror stories about learning in the classical vein or the lack of purpose in general lesson plans. My focus is to create a unique lesson plan for each student to maximize efficiency while incorporating my teaching style into the plan. I incorporate musical expression, technique, and theory into each lesson while taking we've learnt and reworking it into something original. Composition being the ultimate goal; as we learn a lot quicker thinking for ourselves. There are no limitations, I've taught and performed in many genres: Classical, Jazz, Rock,Pop,Reggae, Blues, Hip-hop, Gospel, Fusion, the list goes on... So who am I? I'm a 24 year old musician who's extremely passionate about ALL music. - Completed 3 years Mohawk College Applied Music program. - 5 years teaching experience. (Includes leading band rehearsal and performances) - Developed and promoted shows - Constantly studying the scripts of the great classical composers. - Most important: Patient and Understanding. I am 47 and married with young kids. I work (non-music) full time and music is a passion. I love to write songs, perform live, and record/release. I played a dozen shows in 2023, mostly solo. I released an album and 3 singles as well, and plan to release more in 2024 and beyond.

We do mostly my own original songs with a few covers thrown in. I sing lead vocals and play acoustic guitar, and I have a bassist and a backup singer that often play with me as well. We are talking about setting up a monthly rehearsal in 2024.I am targeting 10-20 shows for 2024, and I generally like to ensure everyone makes at least 100-150 per show. But I am not really in it to make money, or play corporate gigs or 3 hour cover sets. I like shows with a crowd that is musically engaged in venues that are fun to play and open to sets of original music.
About you
Ideal instruments to add would be things like drums, keys, lead guitar (country roots sounds), steel guitar, banjo, etc. Age doesn’t matter, just maturity.You should have a positive attitude and be easy-going (no drama or politics), and have your own equipment and transport. You should be about the same or better skill level as the rest of us (see link to live set above). If you want to sing some harmonies and are capable, that is great too. Obviously, you should also enjoy the same genres of music listed above.

RECHERCHÉ: CHANTEUR D’EXPÉRIENCE POUR BAND DE COVER PUNK-ROCK, POP-PUNK, GRUNGE, ROCK ALTERNATIF ANNÉES 90-2000
Groupe de Sherbrooke formé depuis environ 3 ans, composé de 4 musiciens dans la quarantaine, quelques spectacles à notre actif et un répertoire de près de 40 chansons.
Voici quelques groupes qui sont au coeur de notre projet: Green Day, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, The Offspring, Pearl Jam. Je peux partager le répertoire complet sur demande.
Nous recherchons un chanteur engagé avec de l’expérience en band ainsi que sur scène.
Nous pratiquons 1 fois par semaine, habituellement le lundi soir, dans un local de pratique (loyer d’environ 50$/mois par membre du band).
Objectif de spectacle(s): minimum 1 par année mais possible d’en faire plus (total de 2 ou 3 max).

Je rêve avec l'opportunité de commencer à chanter en publique.
J'ai débuté la pratique de chat il y a environ deux ans.
Je cherche toujours amméliorer ma voix pour chanter solo.
Toute ma vie j'étais timide pour débuter.
Je suis encore timide pour chanter en publique, je me sens jamais assez pret.
Je suis sur que je peux amelliorer encore, mon travail n'est pas fini. Mais je risque de jamais dire à moi même que je suis pret.
Je chante en plusiers langues, surtout en italien.
Je chante des chansons gospel et pop.
J'aimerais chanter dans une église chrétienne ou n'import quel place pour des chansons comme pop.Pour finir :

Dès sa création au printemps 2000, FOREVER BLACK n’a qu’un seul but : recréer sur scène l’âme de ces deux entités qui ont marquées des générations de musiciens depuis plus de trente ans.
Composée de Rock Potvin (voix), Patrick McManara (guitare), Pierre Proulx (basse et voix) et Marc Vigneault (batterie), cette formation d’origine Sherbrookoise nous propose un retour aux racines du rock, dans un style puissant qui reste fidèle à l’image des années 1970 et 1980. Les membres de FOREVER BLACK ne se contentent pas de jouer Ozzy et Black Sabbath, ils nous submergent dans une atmosphère sombre et lourde, et nous rappellent le côté théâtral du spectacle qui a fait la gloire des groupes cultes du rock.
Le répertoire de FOREVER BLACK comprend des pièces des sept premières années de Black Sabbath, ainsi que des pièces de la carrière solo d’Ozzy Osbourne. Sa force de frappe tient beaucoup dans le choix de ses pièces musicales et dans la sincérité de leur interprétation.

I'm moving to Wolfville in May and am in search of a practice space that I can play drums in. Ideally this would be a space that I can either store my own drums in (to share if needed) or use a shared kit but bring my own breakables, whatever works!

I am a mature (50+) male who loves music, but I've never been very good at playing guitar. I try, but fail miserably. So, I'm hoping to find other beginner friendly musicians to jam with to hopefully improve my playing eventually. I prefer playing rhythm guitar, but can play bass with an equal lack of ability, if needed...lol
Maybe we can jam out some simple tunes or create our own!
I listen to a wide range of music, from rock, early country, klezmer, zydeco (accordian, ya!), jazz (Go Go Penguin!), metal (Faith No More!), bluegrass....you get the idea. I'm all over the place!
