The idea is to tap into our creativity and to have enough material or ability to fill a 2hr slot.
Concept is simple: we get together and just play. Create. No need to pick a list of songs or to learn them at home. Practice all you want on your own and whatever you want on your own but all that’s needed is for you to show up and be serious about jamming.
We MAY eventually jam on some covers but they would have to be ‘our style’ and only a means to have some familiar music for audiences.

The Isosceles Project is looking for a drummer and bass player. I live around Hamilton Ontario but I have wheels. I'm comfortable commuting around an hour or so to practice with the right people. Looking for people who are into a wide breadth of music from metal to prog rock to synthy stuff to psychedelia to post metal to doomy sludge to funky riffs and everything in between, but generally the music leans to the darker side of things, but there is sometimes light at the end of the tunnel.

Even though I love a lot of bands that have vocals, this band is instrumental.
Looking for drummers and bass players who have fairly developed chops, preferably from a metal background and upbringing. This is a proggy band with long songs, weird meters, tempo changes, and lots of riffs. We lean into meaty riffs a lot more than solos. I'm not a virtuso guitar player by any means, but I take pride in big riffs and playing with a lot of dynamic. I don't care if you play bass with your fingers or a pick.
Looking for people who are reliable, experienced, chill, and people who are into jamming weeklyish give or take, atleast until we have a set locked in. You should probably have Pro-ish gear. I'm a relaxed person. I don't mind if it's a slow burn as long as its a consistent one. Looking to make friends and for this to be fun.
I don't want this band to take over anyone's life, but I would like to share it with people who want it to be part of theirs.
There will be a bit of older material but mostly new material for the live set to start, but the ultimate goal would be to find people who are interested in collaborating and writing together. While I have a new record mostly done that I’ve been sitting on, I’d rather only tackle a few of those so it’ll be faster to move onto new stuff together.

Hey, currently 3-piece band late 20s/30s, looking for a guitar player/singer for our Power Pop/Indie Rock/Nerdcore band that is very rocknroll cool and serious but also plays songs about pro wrestling and video games and cartoons and Power Rangers.
Need someone who can play/learn pretty easy, mostly to back up the lead guitar on rhythm and maybe do the occasional lead/solo lines, but we especially need somebody who can confidently sing backup and harmonies, as basically all our songs have some harmonies/backup needed and we currently only have lead vocals.
If you’re into this and meet most of the requirements but play bass instead of guitar, give a shout anyway and we might be up to shuffle our bass player to guitar if it’s the right fit. Queer/trans/enby friendly and all voices welcome, but if you have a higher range/fem leaning voice there might also be opportunity to sing some leads as we’ve got a couple songs our old bass player used to sing that don’t really fit our voices. Hey all, I'm a well rounded (ish? ) guitar/ bass player and drummer looking for like minded musicians interested in jamming on Metallica songs and see where it goes. I'm open to other stuff too, honestly Metallica is my main interest and what I'm most well rounded in playing, also know a decent amount of Nirvana and some other random rock stuff.
While I play a few instruments, I'm definitely more skilled on guitar, followed by drums then bass. I welcome jamming with all other instruments, not just the typical rock band setup (but that's a wonderful starting point!)
I'm in Halifax and open to finding places to jam. Rockopolis off Cunard and Fantasie Music Instruments on Spring Garden come to mind, and of course suggestions are always welcome!
Full disclosure, I'm not trying to become a Rockstar, just reaching out to the local musician community to see if anyone's interested in jamming and having a few drinks, who knows maybe write some songs and become a garage band.. The Keppoch Shores Recording Studio is centrally located in Stratford and is well equipped for most any recording project. The musical centrepiece of the studio is the Steinway “B” Grand Piano. We are the only recording studio on PEI with a grand piano, and it’s a STEINWAY! The studio features top of the line preamps by Avalon, Neve & Phoenix Audio, Dangerous monitoring, and the Hear Technologies Hear Back System. The MAC recording platform is paired with PRO-TOOLS HD (16 channel I/O) and is loaded with some of the finest plugins by SLATE DIGITAL, SONNOX, ISOTOPE, and WAVES. MELODYNE is here to help smooth your vocals. We have OMNISPHERE 2 for great synth patches, and the complete VIENNA SYMPHONIC CUBE for more complex arrangements.
The expanded live room has been fully tested and acoustically treated and is capable of many configurations. Piano trio (piano, bass, drums), or any combination of electric instruments is doable. There is vocal or guitar/bass amp isolation available. Acoustic guitar sounds amazing in the room!
The studio has a great collection of microphones for any application. The flagship Telefunken ELA-251 M has an incredible sonic presence and is known as “THE VOCAL MIC”. Then there is the Neumann U-87 ai that sounds great on anything. The Neumann TLM 103 and two Neumann KM-184's are all fine microphones. Two vintage (1970's) Sennheiser MD 421s, the AKG 112 D, and the usual Shure SM57s all sound great on the drum kit.
