"Yes, private soccer lessons are worth it! Private coaching will help you improve parts of your game you didn't notice by yourself. It's good to have someone watching you and giving you much more attention so then he can pinpoint areas where you can improve."
I coach to develop and improve not only the player's game but instill confidence and life skills in each individual.

We’re looking to add a few more people to our mixed crew Paddlers of the Fifth Moon and women’s crew Snappin’ Dragons to make sure we’re covered for all races. Both teams are competitively minded rec crews - we don’t time trial or cut people from rosters but we do expect everyone to show up and work on their technique/fitness to get the boats moving as fast as possible.
No experience is necessary, in fact sometimes it’s a bonus as you won’t have any bad habits to unlearn! You must be fit, reliable, committed, driven and a team player. We usually aim to recruit people under 50 to avoid competing with the many 50+ teams for recruitment but the right fit will not be turned away due to age.
We pride ourselves in having inclusive and supportive boats that don’t tolerate the inherent drama that sometimes comes with team sports.
Our coach has over 20 years experience and is currently the head coach for the Canadian National ParaDragon team. You will receive solid technical instruction and train both sides to avoid injury. There are also a variety of cross-training options available to anyone interested.
Both teams are training now to the end of August at the Fairway Gorge Paddling Club.
Snappin’ Dragons team fees are $200 plus team shirt, practices are 5:30-7pm Tues/Thurs
Paddlers of the Fifth Moon fees are $200, practices are 7-8:30pm Tues/Thurs
Races are Nanaimo (Jul 8-9), Victoria (Aug12-13) and Vancouver Island ( Aug 26-27). If you need to miss a festival, not the end of the world if we know early! If you’d like to check it out for free or would like more information, contact us and we’ll get you out as soon as the season starts. You have absolutely nothing to lose in trying it and could end up finding a new passion! We don’t pressure people to join if it's not their thing as clearly that wouldn’t benefit anyone!
We’re also hoping to add a para-dragon team to the family in 2024. This will include people with physical, sensory, neurological, developmental, and psychological conditions along with supporters. If you’re interested in helping to build this team or know someone that would be please get in touch. We were aiming to start it this season but with our coach committed to the National Team program this year it was a bit much! Doesn’t mean we can’t get the ball rolling though!

I'm attempting to pilot a brand new sport in the nation’s capital and looking for a business partner!
Ironcross is inspired by gridiron football, but made simpler, faster, and freer-flowing. It is similar to lacrosse, except that the players carry the ball by hand and tackle opposing players to steal the ball. Goals are scored by throwing the ball past the goalie into the other team's net. It emphasizes basic human skills, including running, tackling, and throwing, in a way that no other sport currently in existence does.
As this is a full-contact sport, there is a lot of work that needs to be done before the game can get off the ground. We need to establish or work with a non-profit legal entity, recruit a coach and someone with relevant expertise (such as kinesiology) to ensure player safety, build a community of players, and then finally handle the logistics of getting in practices and games.
If you want to partner with me or even if you have something that you can contribute, let me know!

We have been playing as a local rec squad for a while. Winter and summer is when we typically participate in GRSC and CYS. Right now, we have two squads: the 11s and the 7. We want to advance our club and begin moving up the ladder to divisions and leagues with greater competition. We are considering hiring someone to train our group. Given the cost, we are unsure of how this will look and we do not have an excess amount of funds.
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate person who loves the game. Who understands every player has a role on the team. And, someone who wants to grow with our club.
Lets talk and discuss all the other details.
