I have a Brother Pacesetter XL 700 sewing machine.
It has a tension issue which I have been trying to resolve myself.
The machine sews but I am not able to get the tension set just right.
I have played with both the bobbin tension and the upper tension with no luck.
I opened the machine up and it seems very clean.
I oiled the moving parts.
I did not take out the shuttle however as I am not certain how to do this on this machine. I do not have a manual for this machine. It does not have the black leavers I have seen on other brother machines. Just some screws which I am hesitant in taking out. It is one of those side mounted shuttles.
Right now the upper thread is coming through on the bottom of the fabric showing up as small dots when I sew.
I have tried tightening the upper tension and lowering the bottom tension without correcting the issue.
I am planning on trying blowing some compressed air through the tension discs to see if that helps but have not tried this yet.
I believe I have this sewing machine threaded correctly according to information I was able to find on the internet.
Wondering if anyone has any other ideas of what might be wrong with my sewing machine. I am hoping to be able to fix the problem myself and can not see myself paying very much to have it fixed as it is an old sewing machine and not worth to much.

Thompson Rivers University is an approved training provider of Technical Safety BC’s mandatory FSR Preparation courses.
An Electrical Field Safety Representative (FSR) is a person who is certified to make declarations that the work described in an electrical installation or operating permit complies with the Safety Standards Act and Electrical Safety Regulation. An FSR can make these declarations on behalf of a contractor. In order to become a certified FSR, you must meet certain eligibility requirements (dependent on certification class) and pass a certification exam.
TRU's FSR course offerings are delivered fully online with continuous enrolment availability. The preparation courses are self-paced and self-directed, and include subject matter support by phone and email. Participant registration grants 30 weeks of access to the course to prepare for their desired FSR exam successfully. Current FSR Preparation offerings are as follows:

This course is required for those needing to add the airbrake endorsement to their current class of license and is designed to prepare students for the ICBC written examination to operate air brake-equipped highway vehicles. Emphasis is placed on safe operating procedures and ongoing maintenance of air brake systems. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be provided an airbrake pre-trip authorization identifying satisfactory trainin and assessment which you will take to ICBC when you take your airbrake knowledge test withing 90 days of issue.
Please note: ICBC has the right to review certified records and to retest certified students at their discretion.
Prerequisites: To enter this course, students must have a valid BC driver’s license.

This course will teach students about the principles of backflow prevention and the testing of backflow prevention assemblies. This course will also prepare students to write the Cross Connection Control certification exam with the BCWWA. This two-day course includes an introduction to fire behaviour, entrapment (S-185), suppression, tools and equipment, fire line safety, water delivery systems, and WHIMS, as well as a practical portion and exam. Students must demonstrate safe working skills, proper care, proper use of equipment, and the ability to physically complete field exercises.

Hi, I’m Deanna And I love senior citizens and inspiring conversations and wise interactions with them. I am very aware that loneliness is a killer in my compassionate training. I teach people 22 ways to be happy for no reason. A big role for fulfilling happiness for me is helping others.
I’m a coach, Author and teacher. My mom has Alzheimer’s and I miss the conversations I had with her dearly right now because she do not know who I am. I miss her wisdom that she shared with me open heartedly. I do realize loneliness is a killer and there’s a lot of people out there that are suffering from loneliness, so now I’ve expanded my business to just meeting elders who would just like someone to talk to have a cuppa tea with or even play a game of cards if they have that mental capacity. Not only that, I have my own car I can take them for a drive or go shopping if they are physically capable. I will do things that your family always want to do but do not have have time to do because they have work or other obligations, like childcare or travel schedules.
As of now I am doing this as a volunteer, or even for a small donation would be appreciated, but not necessary. I just want to connect with the wise, beautiful, senior citizens that are out there that are experiencing loneliness. Maybe we can build something special together and I can expand my business this way but for now I would just like to reach them and see how this goes. This is just something that’s in my heart and soul as I’ve dedicated my life to helping people build relationships, find happiness, and heal from past wounds for I’ve been there.
