Hotel Cashier (NOC 65100)

Grab and go foods
Key Duties:

Operate cash register and process payments (money, cheques, credit/debit cards)
Scan items and tabulate total payment for goods/services
Receive payment and reconcile daily/shift totals with sales
Suggestive selling to enhance customer experience
Stock shelves and maintain clean counter areas
Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
Accept reservations and take-out orders
Wrap or bag merchandise
Calculate foreign currency exchange
Monitor entrances/exits and request proof of payment when necessary
Participate in promotional activities
Verify age for lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco sales
Security and Safety Requirements:

Criminal record check
Reference required
Credit check
Qualifications:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
Computer and technology knowledge
Experience with electronic cash register, Interac machine, and price scanner
