American Shorthair Mix - 1 year old kitten spayed/vaccinated
Description
Mix American Shorthair – The female kitty is home raised, fully vetted, absolutely healthy, shy at first but very adorable, cuddle, and affectionate. She is a playful kitty, and she loves to sit on hooman laps and squeak. She would be good with other cats, not so sure about small kids and dogs.
Kitty come with the advanced starter kit:
1. Spayed/vaccinated/microchipped/dewormed/deflead/demitted (worth $800 per kitten)
2. Big carrier cage with cushioning (worth $120)
3. Cat beds (worth $60)
4. Kitties blankets ($30)
5. Litter tray
6. Lots of toys ($30)
7. Food/water dishes ($15)
8. Free delivery within a 100 km range
She is fully vetted (including expensive Revolution and Profender for kittens), spayed, vaccinated (against rabies, rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia), and microchipped. Kitty is dewormed (against hookworms, tapeworms, heartworms), defleaed, and demitted (against ear mites) four times as per health protocol. Revolution also provides heartworm and tick preventative support.
The kitty is lovely and would be suited for a quiet household. The kitty needs a separated room for a transition period, for a couple of months. Safety first.
Transition period:
================
Even though new kitty is sure to be best of friends with you and your other pets in no time (hopefully!), you should have a small room or space available just for the kitty, for the first few days or weeks. This will help the kitty become comfortable and confident in your home. Be sure to put the kitty’s litterbox (which you’ll clean daily, of course) on one side of the room, and food and water (which you’ll freshen daily) on the other. Offering hiding spaces in cardboard boxes, will help your kitty feel safe, and a cozy, warm bed will help the kitty sleep soundly. Covering the bed with a soft shirt you’ve worn will help the kitty get used to your scent more quickly.
Letting your kitty loose:
=======================
Once you’ve got the kitty room ready and you’ve brought the kitty home in the carrier, set the carrier in the room and open the door, but don’t force kitty to come out until the kitty is ready. Even after the kitty is out, leave the carrier in the corner -- this will provide an additional, familiar hiding spot. The kitty may hide quite a bit upon arrival, but rest assured that the kitty is out exploring when you’re not looking. Before you know it, the kitty will be seeking attention from you day and night but this takes WEEKS.
