I have a rooster, Duke (painted silkie) since he was a baby, he’s currently around 6 months now… it hurts to give him away but as I’m about to have a baby anytime soon it’s the best for me and him, he’s been an inside chicken since a baby because it’s been to cold to have them outside and we haven’t gotten the coop built so I’d love to give him to someone who has all that stuff ready and would like to welcome a rooster to their chicken family! He’s a very sweet bird, he loves to be held and cuddled although he can sometimes be annoying. Please let me know if you’re interested in him and proof you have everything needed for him as I want them to have the best home possible! Again he has been an inside chicken since a baby so he needs a heated place as he needs to be adjusted to outside/ being in the cold!

Who are we ?
Where to start? What a journey! We are the Robillard family. 7 years ago, we moved from Quebec to PEI to start a farm on this beautiful Prince Edward Island. We had plans, but no idea where it would lead us really! We moved and lived in a Tiny House on wheels with our 3 young kids on a vacant field surrounded by water and forest, in Launching, Cardigan.
First year, we planted an edible forest. Trees take time to grow, so better start with that! Second year we started our strawbale house. By the meantime we started having animals. Our small farm and homestead was off grid.
Regenerative agriculture and permaculture was our approach and we were rapidly attracted by hardy breeds. We got our first Mangalitsa wooly pig and Belted Galloway Cattle.
Wild Legacy Farm was created! A family operated farm for the community! Pastured in nature by nature!

We have three Nigerian Dwarf Wethers looking for new pastures to roam. They are aged between 2.5 - 3 years of age. (two are 3 and one is 2.5). They are good boys, but we honestly don't have enough time for them and would like for them to get more attention. They are well-behaved and antics are to a minimum. They have a fenced area we close them in for the night in but can roam all day in our yard (60 acres) and never leave.
Preference is for them to go together.

We've got two Braunvieh cows for sale. First pic is a 4 year old that just calved March 5th. Second pic is a 6 year old cow that calved in early Dec. We have milked both of these cows. We have also used them to simply raise calves. This is a good dual purpose breed. The price for the younger one is $2,400. The other one is $2,000. This does not include their calves. We plan to keep them, but we could be open to discussion regarding that. The newest calf is a heifer, the other is a steer. Located east of Vanderhoof.
