What I believe sets me apart is my approach to the project. I not only create a painting of the animal, I create a painting that represents the pet as seen through the owner's eyes.I can have a series of photos and the photo that might best depict the pet may not in fact represent the owner's ' image ' of the pet. It is no different than seeing a photo of yourself and thinking it doesn't look like you.
When possible I do like to visit with the pet, not just to take my own photos and check colours with my colour swatches, but to spend time with the animal to get an idea of the personality. More importantly I like to see the interaction between owner and pet. If this is not possible, I go through the photos with the client to find which one they feel best depicts their pet and their pets personality. My name is Téo Ardanaz, and I am a graduate student at UBC Okanagan. My over 5 years experience of tutoring students from Kindergarten to University have taught me one thing: to get better at French, you need to speak it!
My lessons cover the essentials, such as grammar, verb tenses, sentence construction, and essay writing. However, they do so in an environment where you are encouraged to experiment with French.
A little bit about my language journey: my father and grandfather grew up in Montreal, and raised me in a household where we always spoke French. I graduated from the Conseil Scolaire Francophone (BC’s French school district) in 2018, with an International Baccalaureate certificate in French. I have continued to be implicated in BC’s francophone community since then, working closely with the Conseil Jeunesse Francophone, BC’s francophone youth council. This has allowed me to both teach and run events in French.
I have worked with a variety of students over the years. It is very important to me that you find that I am a good fit, which is why I offer a free 20-minute consultation before any sessions get booked. While I am currently located in Kelowna, I have also had great success with online clients!
Lessons are extremely customizable, and can range from help around a specific topic, essay writing and review, or preparation for oral exams (among many other things!). They are also available online or in-person.
