I play guitar and bass. I dont need to be lead player but id like to jam original music. Doesnt have to be super heavy just fun to play, toe tapping songs. No breakdowns unless it fits the layering. We could start with covers to see each others influences. Im 44 and grew up in the early 90s playing Death (the band), slayer and went on to cynic, dream theater but who has the time these days to learn 15 minute songs with no repeating riffs haha. If there's any interest i have a jam space. Im from the northside and never been in a band but id like to write some melodic, slighty technical music with some like minded people who want to have fun and keep in practice once in a while. No one who is dealing with the law who has to defend themselves preferably. Police are welcome if like minded and i suspect youll know me. Dont apply if you're just gonna play games. You know who you are but this is just casual jamming a few times a month and jamming parts written when we meet. Im not a show off so if you can shred better then youll get your chance just like everyone else. We can jam with or without a drummer. I can program them to play back on my studio monitors and sub. Vocals would be cool by someone not me but i can write them or you can.
