25 Acres, Victory Road, Greenland, County of Annapolis, NS
Description
Your property has 836+/- feet of road frontage on the gravel-surfaced Victory road, a maintained government road accessible throughout the seasons. The parcel is rectangular (see sketch), with a depth of 1608+/- feet and 1,004+/- feet. Just a few feet from the eastern boundary and a few hundred meters north along Victory Road are beautiful large Stillwater (pictured) that is surely a great place to catch some brook trout and watch the waterfowl, songbirds and other wildlife. You can paddle and fish the brook from your land and run your boat north through the wide brook and Stillwater.
The land's topography is generally flat to rolling and gently sloping as you approach the stream. The land was harvested of wood a few years ago. It appears the new grown has been commercially thinned, and new healthy growth - maple, birch, pine, fir and spruce- is growing quickly. Some very nice stands of mature evergreen trees, especially in the eastern/northeastern portions of the land and areas surrounding the brook, remain.
Several lakes and streams are close by (Charlotte Lake, Simpson Lake, Upper and Lower Beaver Lakes, Bear River) and provide great fishing and recreation
opportunities.
The charming community of Bear River, just 10 minutes from your land, is home to many artisans drawn here by the beauty and uniqueness of the area. Bear River is also home to vineyards, museums, and general supplies… The annual September Striped Bass Fishing Tournament draws several participants from the area who try their luck to catch the most extended Striped Bass along the river.
The Towns of Digby and Annapolis Royal are both within easy reach and offer all the necessary conveniences and amenities. Both towns are located on the waters of the Annapolis Basis, opening up to the Bay of Fundy, which is famous for having the world’s largest tides and is the most popular destination for whale watching and the world-class scallop and lobster fishing industry.
The city of Halifax and Halifax International Airport is within easy reach - 2.5 hours by car. Halifax Airport has international flights departing and arriving from
across Canada, USA, London, England, Frankfurt, Germany, and Glasgow, Scotland.
