Breakfast Chef at Heli-Ski Lodge in BC
Description
This position of Breakfast Chef is an integral part of our kitchen team. You will work closely with all members of our kitchen team under the direction of our long term Head Chef, Greg Fuchs.
Schedule is 5 days on, 2 days off – average of 10 hours per day.
Details are as follows:
• Breakfast preparation & execution
• Preparation of breakfast breads, sweets & baked goodies for lunches
• Preparation of lunch soup, baking of lunch cookies and squares
• Preparation of staff lunch
• Assist in preparation of desserts for dinner, appetizers and other prep duties for the
dinner chef, time permitting
• Organizing and maintaining tidiness of food preparation and storage areas
• Interacting with our guests and ensuring they are treated in a helpful and courteous manner
• Other duties as assigned
Experience Required:
Some chef training required. 3+ years kitchen experience. Previous experience in a remote lodge setting is an asset.
Daily wage based on experience + gratuities. Room & board included. Travel to Crescent Spur, BC will be provided for the successful applicant.
Period of Employment:
Available to start ASAP. Our season is tentatively scheduled to run until April 10th, 2023.
Crescent Spur Heli-Skiing is a small, owner operated heli-skiing company, celebrating our 30th season in operation. We are located in the remote community of Crescent Spur, nestled between the Rocky and Cariboo Mountains in Northern BC., 160km from Prince George.
We host a maximum of 20 guests per week from all over the world, and pride ourselves on providing a comfortable, clean, inviting atmosphere at our ranch-style lodge.
All team members are provided with meals, individual accommodation, a staff lounge and kitchen, and access to fitness facilities (when not in use by guests.)
Compensation includes wage based on experience, room & board plus gratuities.

• Be capable of working physically demanding shifts - lifting moderate loads, bending easily, and working on your
feet for full shifts
• Have a positive attitude and enthusiasm to meet and serve an international clientele
• Possess solid interpersonal skills allowing them to work independently, and as a team
• Be legally allowed to work in Canada (Canadian citizen or valid work visa)
Previous service/hospitality experience, and experience in remote lodge setting is an asset.
