Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities through routine maintenance, repairs, and improvements. The successful candidate will be responsible for addressing tenant maintenance and repair requests across our properties, ensuring all buildings are well-maintained and in optimal condition. This role requires travel between properties; therefore, a personal vehicle is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

-Perform routine and scheduled maintenance across multiple properties.
-Address and resolve tenant maintenance and repair requests promptly and efficiently.
-Conduct repairs, installations of fixtures and appliances, and replacement of damaged systems.
-Diagnose and repair issues related to building heating, electrical, and water systems.
-Coordinate with external contractors for major repair projects when necessary.
-Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
-Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance tasks.
-Be available for on-call emergency maintenance as required.

Knowledge and Experience in:

-General renovations and repair
-Basic electrical (changing outlets, fuses, etc.)
-Basic plumbing (changing toilets, unclogging drains, changing cartridges and faucets, installing sinks, etc.)
-Basic HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance (changing filters, programming thermostats, bleeding -radiators)
-Installation of dishwashers and over-the-range microwaves
-Door installation and repair
-Basic knowledge of building envelopes
-Flooring repair
-Cabinet repair
-Changing locks
-Door closer installation and repair
-Installation of washer and dryer units
-Window latch repair
-Painting
-Drywall patching and repair to paint-ready condition
-Changing ceiling tiles
-Regular checks of buildings and ability to diagnose deficiencies and perform preventative maintenance
