Hebblethwaite Family Farms Inc. is a family owned and operated cash crop and tomato farm located near Rondeau, Ontario. We are looking to hire a full-time employee to assist with the production of corn, soybeans, wheat and tomatoes. This position involves a wide variety of tasks throughout the crop year.
Job responsibilities:
• Operating large machinery during planting and harvest seasons; including tractors, planter, fertilizer spreader, grain cart, dump wagons, tillage equipment, delivering grain.
• Equipment inspection, preventative maintenance and cleaning
• Troubleshooting and identifying equipment issues in the field
• Minor repairs to equipment
• Working extended hours and some weekends during busy season as requiredSkills we are looking for:
• Flexible to work in various working conditions
• Experience operating farm equipment. Willingness to learn equipment operation related to tillage, planting, spraying and harvesting of crops
• Safety Conscience / Strong work ethic
• Positive attitude / team oriented
• Valid G Driver’s License
• Trades experience, community college, or other post-secondary education is an asset but not a requirement.
• AZ license is an asset, but not a requirement.

Job beginning Feb2023 - Nov2023. Employee will be pruning, hand thinning, harvesting, hoeing and stone picking in various tree fruit and vegetable crops. Employee must be able to bend, crouch, and lift up to 40 pounds on a repetitive basis. Also if necessary, be able to work in most weather conditions when required, including rain, cold, heat, etc. Must provide own transportation. Starting wage $15.50/hour. Winter pruning to commence in Feb2023. No education or work experience is required however, experience may be an asset. Will train at commencement of employment.
