1968 Cougar base model. All cosmetics added to emulate an XR7. *Currently no motor in the car* Ford 9" rear end with 3.50 gears, T5 manual transmission, "partial" front disc brake conversion (spindles, rotors, calipers), needs new master cylinder. I was ripped off when I bought this car but will be as transparent as possible to ensure you are not. Car was sold with a "rebuilt" 351 Cleveland that ran fine when I picked it up. Once I got it home the motor began to decline. Turns out it was not broken in properly and the cam was destroyed leaving lots of metal in the oil pan. I pulled the motor out and apart. AMS engines in Edmonton dipped and inspected the block and heads, all are fine for use. Extras to complete the motor include a Holley Sniper EFI system (fully functioning, fuel sending unit in tank), Hooker long tube headers, CVF 8 rib serpentine belt conversion, 3G alternator upgrade, aluminum radiator, electric fans. Car also has Saginaw power steering with a new steering arm. As far as the body, the car is originally from South Carolina and looks to have had somewhat of a restoration at some point. The body is in really good shape overall besides a few scratches and some rust beginning to bubble in a few spots. There is also one spot that the previous owner did a terrible job at matching the paint to. Interior is clean but could use a few things tidied up. To be honest I have lost all motivation to carry on with this endeavour, my loss is your gain.. That said, I will not give it away. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. $19,500 obo.
