Volunteer in Iceland while capturing the radiant beauty of the country! Be involved in Journalism and Photography!
The program will involve volunteers in creating and publishing a magazine promoting voluntarism, from interview topics, photo and video collaborations, editing, layout design and publishing. Volunteers will be exposed in all stages of magazine production and will be able to meet and visit different volunteer projects in Iceland.
A part of this project will concentrate on intercultural learning and exchange. Every evening, a different country will cook for the rest of the group and will be in charge of presenting their culture and country of origin in a non formal way.
This project is a way to enjoy an amazing time in Iceland with other international volunteers and to have an incredible experience where participants share their knowledge with each other while they are exploring creativity, environmental issues and intercultural learning.

Study title: Remembering the past, imagining the future, and personal thoughts in PTSD
We are looking for people to participate in a research study run at Toronto Metropolitan University that explores memory and future thinking in PTSD. We are looking for 35-50 people who experienced a traumatic event but do not have PTSD or other current mental health symptoms. We will compare this to 35-50 people with PTSD.
Participating in this study first involves a brief telephone interview to see if you are eligible. If you are, then we would invite you to a testing session on videoconference where you would complete mental health interviews, surveys, and tasks that measure memory and thinking. If we invite you to participate, this session will last between 1.5 and 2 hours and you will receive up to $40 for your time.
To be eligible for this study, you should be:
- Between the ages of 30-65
- Free of major neurological conditions
- Free of current PTSD or other difficulties with mental health
- Free of diagnoses on the psychosis spectrum, free of bipolar disorder, and not have severe difficulties with current substance useIf you want to learn more about the study, please email the student principal investigator, Kesia Courtenay, at kesia.courtenay@torontomu.ca or call 416-979-5000 ext 552192.

My name is Mike Holmes; I’m an electrician/sax player who lived in Edmonton in the 80’s near Commonwealth Stadium and Borden Park. My wife and I now live in BC and my fortunes have vastly changed for the better and I would love to share that with the daughter I know was born but whom I never got the chance to know. All I have is memories….her mother was a beautiful hairdresser (maybe of Swedish descent) named Donna, with blonde hair down to her butt whom I dated briefly. She lived on Edmonton’s south side at the time and her phone numbers then were (780) 467-9031 and (780) 461-7920. Our daughter Shauna would be about 37 by now. We will do a DNA test to clarify any paternity issues to any possible responses and if you’re my baby, I would love to include you in my Will. I have no last name for Donna and hope someone reading this will remember her back in her 20’s and pass this along and/or get in touch with me via Kijiji. A friend is posting this in Edmonton because I can't and will pass your replies to me. Thank you for any assistance you can provide!

Moved to edmonton May 2022 from GP. Believe my camera equipment may have been stolen from our garage sometime between may/july. Was in a manfrotto hikers backpack (i have the weather proof cover for it). 5-6lenses, an external flash, remotes, lense adaptors and filters, and sd cards that still had my photos on them... Canon t4i with 2 batteries, missing its hot shoe cover. There were 2 standard kit lenses, a 40 and 50mm, and a longer range zoom lense I can't remember off the top of my head. It had hand grip attached to it.
I had that camera for 10 years and my heart is broken that its missing. I've been searching for it for months and think someone sold it to make a quick buck. Any information to help me bring closure on its where abouts would be helpful.
