Silas is a 10 month old lab/pitbull cross. He was rescued from Manitoba and their banned breed law. When he was brought to Alberta, he was left in his crate too long and doesn't like crates. We are working on crate training but it's a slow process.

My husband and I adopted Silas on June 10, 2022 from Infinite Woofs. While with his foster family, he lived with three resident dogs: one large dog and two small ones. He is happy with dogs in his house but reacts while on leash.

I don't know how he is with children or cats as we don't have either. Please keep in mind he is still a puppy and is very strong. He's not necessarily aware of his size and strength so older children would be better than little ones.

We need to rehome Silas as he jumped our 5 foot fence. We could tether him in the backyard but don't think that's best for him. His ideal home would be in a small town with less noise and a yard with a high fence or in the country.

He is very loving and enjoys cuddles, scratches behind the ears, and brain games. He's very bright and curious. Silas has learned alot in his short time with us. He knows his name, has improved immensely with on-leash walking, sits on command, is learning down, and looks at me for treats. We're still working on stay and leave it. We'll continue to work on crate training while we wait to place him with a suitable home.

Silas was neutered and his shots were given on April 19, 2022. He is tattooed and microchipped. I can provide all documentation to back this up. He will come with his crate, bed, toys and food. We would love to keep him but our house and yard aren't set up for him.

He'd be best suited in a home in a small town or in the country. As he was in a home with other dogs, I don't believe that matters as much, as long as proper introductions are made. My husband and I want the best for Silas. He is a great boy and we're heartbroken to make this decision but it's the best for him.

He will come with his bed, crate, toys, leash, and whatever else we have for him.
