Anna Adams
Indigenous Horse Training, Foundation Work & Owner Coaching
Description
Offering horse training, foundation work, restart support, and owner coaching for untouched, green broke, nervous, reactive, or difficult horses.
We are Anna and Johnathan Adams, with over 50 years of combined horse experience. Our approach focuses on communication, trust, safety, body language, and helping the horse understand before asking too much.
We work with:
• Untouched or hard-to-catch horses
• Young horses needing foundation work
• Green broke horses needing confidence
• Horses needing a restart
• Nervous, reactive, pushy, or resistant horses
• Horses needing groundwork, saddling, desensitizing, or rider preparation
• Owners wanting to better understand and work with their horse
Training may include catching, haltering, leading, tying, yielding, pressure and release, softening, desensitizing, saddling, carrying a rider, and building confidence.
We offer:
• On-site assessment sessions
• Two-day foundation or restart weekends
• Owner coaching and follow-up sessions
• Monthly training when a horse needs more consistent handling
Every horse is different. We do not rush the process or promise a finished horse in a weekend. Our goal is to build a respectful foundation and give the owner a realistic path forward.
Located near Wabamun/Paul First Nation area. Travel may be available depending on location.
Message with your horse’s age, current handling level, concerns, location, and goals. Photos or videos are welcome.
