LOOKING FOR: carpentry / tool lessons

hello! I have a ~100 year old home in the north end (halifax), and I would love to be more self sufficient when it comes to using tools and DIY stuff. for example, I recently had my floors refinished and I need to put the quarter rounds back on, which I think would be easy enough... cutting the strips, nail gun... but would be nice to have some guidance. anyone retired / got some time on their hands who would want to teach me some things on evenings or weekends? thanks!
