Live-in Superintendent 74 Unit Multiplex

We are seeking an experienced individual (please note that this is a paid position for one person only, however couples are welcome) to fill the position of Live-in Building Superintendent at a 74-unit Condominium Complex in Halifax (HCCC#264).
The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of a multi-unit residential property in an efficient and effective manner. Duties will include some minor preventative/general building maintenance, cleaning of 5 buildings, some outdoor property upkeep, and overseeing on-site contractors as needed. The successful candidate will be physically comfortable and capable of completing all maintenance and cleaning duties. Must be able to safely lift ~25kg when required.
The Superintendent is responsible to monitor adherence to Corporation by-laws, maintain quality relationships and open communication with owners/tenants, be responsive to owner/tenant concerns, and to report any concerns and/or deficiencies to the Property Management Company, as well as any other tasks related to property operations and maintenance. A positive and professional attitude is a must. Experience managing residential buildings, completing minor maintenance work and repairs, and coordinating with trade contractors are strong assets.
We are offering an excellent compensation package and accommodations in the use of a recently renovated 2- bedroom condominium unit. Included in the contract is heat, hot water, power, one parking space, cellular phone, and an internet/basic cable bundle. In unit fridge, stove. dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer. Additionally, we include paid mileage reimbursement, 2-weeks paid vacation, all statutory holidays, and 5 paid sick days per year.
