IMG (International Medical Graduate) / Physician's Assistant
Description
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Clinical Assistant (International Medical Graduate) to join our clinic. Working under the supervision of a physician, the Clinical Assistant will support patient care, clinical operations, and administrative functions while utilizing their medical education and clinical knowledge to enhance the patient experience.
This role is ideal for an International Medical Graduate seeking Canadian clinical experience in a collaborative outpatient specialty setting.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate excellent computer literacy and typing skills.
- Answer patient calls and schedule appointments in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and process patient referrals.
- Collect and document patient medical histories, including past medical, surgical, social, and family history.
- Prepare examination rooms for medical procedures.
- Perform and assist with various medical office procedures.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask and work effectively within a team environment.
Qualifications Required:
- Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) obtained outside Canada.
- Strong understanding of clinical medicine, medical terminology, and patient assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous clinical experience in family medicine.
- Completion of Medical Council of Canada examinations (MCCQE Part I, NAC or equivalent) is an asset.
- Previous Canadian healthcare experience.
Location: Scarborough
Job Type: Part-time (2 to 3 days per week)
Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour
