PSW/Caregiver
Description
This position would provide care for an elderly male who lives with his wife near St. Clair Avenue and Vaughn Road in Toronto. He is 92 years old and has limited mobility as he is coming home shortly from a rehab hospital in Toronto. Initially the shifts will be 12 hours during the day 5 to 7 days per week. This will likely involve two staff members to cover all these shifts. The job will involve assisting in his mobility (helping him from bed to wheelchair as he recovers his mobility), bathing, dressing, etc.
His son lives there and can help as needed.
Shifts will be 7 days a week about 8 to 12 hours per day.
Require:
- experienced PSW or Caregiver
- experience assisting with transfers
- possible use of Hoyer lift
- speak and read English well
- 100% reliable and compassionate
- Have and open work permit at a minimum (no sponsorships)
- Good wages/benefits
