78 Bronco
Description
78 Ford Bronco.
33,000km
Currently my daily driver. Mechanical, electrical and suspension all restored/ running well.
I believe I am the 3rd owner, maybe rhe 4th....This truck has spent most of its life parked. The second owner, who I bought it from, told me it was a barn find with some rust. He did rust repairs on the usual spots for these trucks: rear wheel wells, cab floors, and door frames. He also converted it to propane and put in a refurbished 351M. He put on about 3000km. Ive converted it back to gasoline and put on about 8000.
This is still a project. Ive run out of steam for the finishing body work and paint, but it is my daily driver currently, so anything impacting driveability i have kept up on.
What Ive done:
New manifold
New carb - edelbrock 650
New tires last year
Installed fuel pressure gauge
New fuel tank
New rear glass, brand new tailgate and felting for door and Window
New door seals on tailgate
Fixed a bunch of electrical bugs so everything works now
New ubolts and shackles for rear suspension
New power steering pump
Prepped and protected the undercarriage - rust mort and undercoat - rust prevention measure as the frame is great
Waxed interir side of every panel
Brand new windshield
Brand new radiator
Replaced front axel
New alternator
Rebuilt brake drums on rear and replaced calibers and disks on front 6000km ago
Parts i have and havent installed yet:
Felt for all doors and windows
Stereo
Front bumber if you want to get rid of the winch
A 77 f-150 grill
Spare tire rack
Trailer hitch
I have some assorted spare parts as well
For a full restore it needs:
Some work in the bed of the truck: the previous owner had extra propane tanks in the bed so there were holes drilled in for the lines....i havent got around to filling them in yet
Dash has a crack
Drivers seat has a tear, otherwise it is the original blue leather seats in excellent condition....have had the protectors on most of their life
Paint - i had plans to rockguard the inside and sand/ paint where the previous owners repairs were. It will need both interior and exterior paint
Headliner
Interior side panels
A few other minor things im sure i have forgotten
