Seeking a Mountain Adventure Partner: Active & Loyal Companion
It is with a heavy heart that we are looking for a new home for our beautiful girl. We are moving across the world and living in a van for several months—a lifestyle that would be unfairly stressful for her. We want her to have the stability and space she deserves.
The Highlights
She is a 40lb bundle of life who perfectly balances high energy with a "pro" ability to chill.
Mountain Biking Pro: She is at her happiest following a bike on the trails. She has incredible stamina and loves the chase.
Manners & Training: She has excellent recall, knows all her basic commands, and is perfectly go to your bed trained.
The Social Butterfly: She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves to play.
The Couch Potato: Once the exercise is done, she is the ultimate companion, happy to lounge on the sofa with you all day. I work 8 hours out of the house and she is fine to be on her own. She doesn't destroy things or has accidents .
Her Specific Needs (The "Heeler" Life)
She is a high-drive herding mix who needs a handler familiar with the quirks of Cattle Dogs or similar breeds.
Active Lifestyle: She needs a home that can provide significant daily exercise and mental stimulation.
Adult-Only Home: Due to her herding instincts and nervousness in certain situations, she can nip. She cannot be in a home with small children.
No Cats: Her "chase" instinct is strong!
Safety First: She wears a muzzle when mountain biking; she is fully acclimated to it and doesn't mind it at all—it simply keeps her and others safe and relaxed.
The "In Your Bed" Command: She is highly responsive to this command, which is her "safe space" when she feels overwhelmed.
The Ideal Match
We are looking for an experienced owner who understands "herding dog brain." Ideally, you are a mountain biker, hiker, or trail runner who wants a loyal shadow on the trails. She needs a home with a yard and a predictable routine where she doesn't have to spend much time in a car (her least favorite place).
