MAY–JULY SUBLET | Artist’s Retreat on a 40-Acre Farm · Courtenay, BC Dates: May 1st – July 1st (Slightly flexible)
Location: 10 minutes from Downtown Courtenay
We’re heading overseas to host an artist retreat and are opening our home to one special person or couple for May 1 – July 1 (dates slightly flexible). This isn’t a typical rental. It’s a carefully curated living space on a working 40-acre property — 10 minutes from downtown Courtenay, yet completely immersed in nature.
The Space:
A spacious open-plan second floor above a community art center. The living room is generous and light-filled. The recently renovated bedroom has a king bed with an organic mattress and an angled skylight window directly above — so your last view every night is the stars.
Work & Create:
Electric adjustable standing desk, a second workspace, fast internet, and the kind of deep quiet that’s increasingly hard to find. If your best work happens in stillness, this is your place.
Unwind:
Projector setup for movie nights. A large private terrace with BBQ and string lights (being finished now). Wood-burning fireplace. High-end air purifier. The sofa doubles as a guest bed. Outside: Step directly into 40 acres of land with a private 2km forest loop at your door.
The backyard has to be seen — check the photos.
