I own a mobile boat detailing company Head to Bow.
I have been detailing boats for nearly 20 years.
We travel all over the province of Ontario in Canada at the moment. I have gained close to 400 customers.
It is time for me to expand my business.
My plan is to take on bigger jobs, expand in Canada, and eventually Internationally.

Here is a quick synopsis of the services we provide:
I typically charge $35 -$40/ft in length, depending on the beam width and condition of the boat. This is still about half of what marinas charge.
This includes:
- Pressure wash, dissemble and wash mattes, removable carpets, canopies, and covers, then hang to dry
- Acid wash hull to remove stains and repeat pressure wash thoroughly.
- wet sand exterior cockpit, fly bridge, radar arch, superstructure, transom, and hull using 2000 grit abrasive (magic eraser) by hand, running water constantly.
- empty and clean the entire interior, shampoo carpets, clean ceiling to floor, inside cuddies, compartments, shampoo around engine, clean bathrooms, floors, windows, etc.
- compound and buff exterior superstructure and hull
-Hand Wax and polish the supertructure and hull
- Polish windows
-If the boat is on a trailer, I wash the tires and trailer and apply armor all to the tires - Put all the pieces of the boat back together.
We are a mobile service that comes to your location with all our own equipment and supplies, which are mostly 3M and environmentally friendly.
I take pictures and send them to the customer as we go, so they have an album, to show their family and friends, and in case they want to sell in the future. Many of my customers I have never met as they are in the GTA and their Cottages are hours away so I just send pictures and then they transfer me when I'm done.
I work with one other person typically, sometimes 2 others, for boats over 40 feet. We usually get a 40' boat done in one day, working sunrise to sunset. 2 days maximum. For yachts over 60 ft I would we have a bigger crew.
We ussually travel by RV. Other times by truck and stay in hotels depending on the distance.
All I require is a connection to water and electricity and an address, but I also have a generator and pumps if needed.
We travel from Tobermory to London to Cornwall and everywhere in between, but are looking to expand into other provines.
We can't wax in the rain but can certainly wash, wetsand, clean the interior etc.
Our aim is to restore yachts to as close new again as possible, inside and out.
We also remove old decals and apply anti foul paint, and apply Teak oil for an extra charge.
I give 10% profit to Marinas on their site, and I also give a 10% discount if you refer a friend in the area.
I am just starting to take bookings now as the spring has come early. It books up fast this time of year
