Gary
2.5 Year old Male ragdoll cat.
Description
Please meet Joey. Joey can be a very sweet and loving young cat. He was born into a litter of 4, and he has stayed here since birth. He is friendly and loving, and makes us laugh with his silliness. He loves catnip, his toy springs, being on the catio, or cuddling up on a seat closeby. He is very healthy, and we have no concerns with his health.
So why are we rehoming him at 2.5 years old? We never, ever planned to. As Joey has gotten older, he has become timid to the other cats in our home, very afraid, and the end result is that cat fights are breaking out. It is always Joey at the middle of it, and we are afraid someone or something is going to get hurt. Joey is starting fights with his brothers and sister out of fear, and we have come to the conclusion that the best thing for Joey is to be rehomed to a house with no other pets. He has a long and healthy life ahead of him, and deserves to be living in a place he feels safe, and not afraid of the other animals in the home. He has a lot to offer a family after he warms up to you...and he will definitly make you laugh. He talks alot, and has a lot of energy.
Joey is an indoor only cat. We do have a catio, that is caged in with steel mesh, so he does get outdoors time, just in a 100% safe place. It is accessed through the living room window, and is built on the back patio, around a window. Joey would have to remain an indoor/ catio cat, as he is too timid to be an outdoors cat.
This is an incredibly hard decision, and the family is not 100% in agreement on rehoming him. But it is what is best for both Joey, and the other cats in our home.
