Kitchen Assistant
Description
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team and assist with food preparation, line cooking, and general kitchen maintenance. The successful candidate will have experience in a professional kitchen setting, be able to work quickly and efficiently, and possess excellent organizational skills. We are a locally owned and operated business that supports local farmers and producers, while also offering a selection of indulgent delicacies! This position requires an individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, is able to follow instructions accurately and produce a consistent product, and is excited to join a team of mainly women.

Responsibilities:
Assist the head chef in preparing daily specials and maintain line cooking during the breakfast/lunch rush
Be forward thinking and organized to help the kitchen systems operate smoothly
Follow instructions from the head chef regarding meal preparation and presentation.
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Ensure that all food items are stored properly and safely.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals.
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils.
Adhere to health and safety regulations.
