A students participation in the group will be based strictly on their comfort level. Learning in a group format is a new, unique, and affordable way to learn to play piano. All ages and levels welcome!
For those that prefer individualized instruction, then private lessons are the right choice for you. Please contact me for more information. I look forward to hearing from you!

I currently have openings for violin and viola students for private lessons. Whether the learner is a child just starting out, a teenager who is interested in studying music at a university level, or an adult amateur who wants to continue honing their musical technique for years to come, I am here to open the doors to the exciting world of playing music!
My resume includes teaching violin, viola, and music for more than 20 years, specializing in student-focused learning. In addition, I have extensive experience teaching homeschoolers and specific strategies for helping these learners along their way.
Lessons are an hour, although we often go over by a few minutes to ensure we aren’t rushed as we sum up the lesson. All lessons include a recording of the session and a follow up email.
Longer lessons are available for students who would like to include extended work on theory, keyboarding, composing, sight reading, and/or university prep.
Feel free to reach out through Kijiji messaging and if you are interested I can provide pricing information and my phone number there.

Are you looking for a flexible opportunity to volunteer, while seeing the real-life impact you're making? CNIB has the position for you!
As a Vision Mates, you are paired with a person who is blind or partially sighted to help with sighted tasks in their home, deliver groceries, or call to chat. Our current volunteers find this both easy (it feels like spending time with a friend) and flexible (visits/calls are scheduled between the volunteer and their match at a mutually convenient time). Training is provided.
We’re currently looking to match:
- Brenda, Dartmouth, is looking for an older volunteer to help with reading, organizing, grocery shopping, going for walks, and running errands. She enjoys reading, using her computer, knitting, and sewing. She has some hearing loss.
- Marguerite, 90s, Dartmouth, is looking for a female (preferably over 40) to occasionally take her for errands such as groceries and the occasional appointment. The Vision Mate would need to be willing to drive, though wouldn’t necessarily meet weekly. She’s sweet though does seem to be starting with althemizers and can sometimes get confused or frustrated.
- Lui, Eastern Passage, is planning to purchase a sailboat and is looking for a sighted volunteer (with sailing experience) to help during weekly sails over the spring/summer/fall. If you or someone you know have the knowledge and interest to help, let me know!
- Joanne, 60s, Eastern Passage, enjoys collecting coins. She’d like a female volunteer to help with reading books and mail, going for walks, socializing, and running errands. She'd prefer visits during weekdays and is allergic to peanuts and smoke.Interested in volunteering for this position? Email jeff.deviller@cnib.ca and he'd be happy to answer any of your questions!

We are conducting an online research study to better understand how physical distancing is impacting people’s mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. While isolated from others, many people are using smartphones to keep in touch and engage with others. Understanding healthy social behaviour during the pandemic can help minimize the negative consequences of physical distancing. We are looking for people to join our study!
Who can Participate? We are looking for people aged 15 years and up to participate in the study. You do not need to be diagnosed with a mental disorder to participate in the study. Everyone is welcome!
Will you be reimbursed for your time? Participants will receive $40 for filling out the questionnaires and working with our app for one month. We will ask participants to fill out questionnaires again after three months. So, if you complete the study you will receive $60.
Please register using the following link, so that we can send you more information about what it will mean to take part in the current research study: COVID19-prosit.info
A staff member from our research team is available to answer any questions you have about the study at our toll-free number 1-833-905-0314 or by email at PROSIT@iwk.nshealth.ca.

We are a family of 4 desperately seeking a 3 or 4 bedroom home that is dog friendly. We have senior dogs that are non negotiable as they are old and do not have many years left. We are looking for a long term rental. We do not smoke and both my husband and I have stable incomes. Our kids are 14 and 22 although the older child is out of town most of the time. The home we currently have been renting for the last 4 years is being listed for sale soon. We have excellent references and will treat your home like our own and i know the current property manager we deal with will agree with that. Our daughter attends gatez brook Jr high and so we will like to be anywhere in that school district. We can be available to move for April, May, or June 1st or even possibly at the latest July 1st so please consider us if you have something coming available. We would be happy to put you in contact with our current property manager for a reference.

I'm a 50 year old caucasian male, still employed and working for the man. Wondering if there is a female out there who would enjoy some company to do things with. This could be anything.
I don't smoke or use drugs and I am hopeful you don't either.
Age, size, ethnicity are not factors for me however I do like to enjoy nature so it would be nice if you are active and enjoy a light hike.
Board games, shopping, dining out, beach walks, nature trails, drives on sunny or rainy days are all enjoyable to me.
Staying in to watch a movie or other is also right up my alley.
Please don't be shy, I'd love to hear from you.
Thank you

Hello,
My husband and I are looking to make friends with others folks close to our age (we are in our 40's) who have borderline personality disorder. My husband was diagnosed a year ago. Although he has mental health support, it was suggested that we make friends with other borderlines so we can both have support and be of support.
I'll admit (im non BPD), im make friends a lot easier than he does, but hubby is willing to try this avenue.Soooooo, if there is anyone in HRM that would like to be a part of our support network, please respond. I personally find that talking to others who have BPD helps me understand him better to I can support him better.

Have you always wanted to learn to play the piano, or improve your keyboarding skills? Why not learn in the comfort of your own home?
I am a qualified, and very experienced instructor, with over 25 years of teaching experience, both in a private setting, and at the university level. I have taught students of all ages and levels of study. My education includes a BA (Mus), andMMus (Piano Performance).
I offer both individual and group lessons online.
Group lessons are a fun and interactive way to learn! Rates are highly discounted in comparison to private lessons.
The benefits to group learning are many. One of these being that you benefit not only from the teachers instruction, but also by listening to others play, and the instruction they are given.
Rates: $14 for a 1/2 hr group lesson, $30 for a 1/2 hr private lesson
*45 minute and 1 hr lessons are also available if requested
