SCR Equestrian is accepting new and returning clients for riding lessons. We are family friendly and family ranch based. Building off years of experiencing in the saddle and on the ground Alyson is excited to welcome you to their ranch for lessons or to a local arena. Travel to you can be arranged ahead of time.
Lesson start depends on weather and thawing (Meaning spring weather dependent)
Lessons are built around horsemanship and fun. Come learn to care for, engage and ride- whether you’re a lifelong horse person or new to the sport, for your kids, yourself or other. Let’s talk about getting you into the saddle. Lesson horses can be available but rider/horse have to be a fit. Mini sessions of young kids meeting, brushing and leadline rides are also available
Alyson has taught 4H, Pony Club and coached some A circuit shows for clients in Alberta. After running a large horsemanship program in the Canadian Rockies she also has experience purchasing and selling horses, trail riding and backcountry.
Located 35 minutes west of Dawson Creek in Willowvalley / sunset prairie.

Sometimes I work long hours, so I need a responsible dog lover that can drop in on my dog, play with her, feed her, and possibly walk her.
Jasper is a 6 month old Australian Shepard and Great Pyrenees cross. She’s very social, playful, and good natured. She has a couple puppy habits we’re working on, such as pulling on her leash and jumping up on strangers, but she’s learning.
I expect to have to work long hours consistently in the summer months, but ramping up now, so I’d like to ease into the longer days by starting drop-ins soon.
This would be a good job for a responsible youth or someone looking for some extra cash and a furry buddy to hang out with.
Compensation is negotiable and based on quality time spent with her.
Ability to transport the pup is an asset.

We are accepting select young horses for colt starting, as well as started horses for additional advancement in their training starting March 1st.
We are located on a working, family run cattle ranch near Hudson’s Hope, BC. Roger is a third generation rancher & horseman with 25 years experience starting horses. Roger has had the pleasure over the years of riding & training under the influences of Ray Hunt, Peter Campbell, Bert Elstop ( travelling to New Zealand to ride with Bert), and Martin Black to name a few.
Our personal & client horses are exposed to many different situations on a working cattle ranch: including cattle work, arena work, water, trail riding etc. The end goal is to provide a safe, learning environment for the horse and rider. These colts are offered the correct, core foundation with a kind, gentle hand. Emphasis on creating a soft, confident horse that can advance easily to any direction of disciplines. It’s part of our program to include the owner in this training process. We encourage our clients to participate with us in lessons, in a one on one setting with their horse in training. Educating the owner in a safe, fun, positive environment to implement the tools for proper communication & success when the horse goes home is key! Lindsay is an Equine Therapist with 10 years experience and assists me in the daily training process. Together we observe the horse from a musculoskeletal perspective to make sure that horse is moving and feeling it’s best biomechanically. We address any imbalances ( soft tissue or structurally )with the owners permission, that may cause pain or behavioural issues in the horse, as we want to provide the best foundation for horse moving forward.
Price per month is $950 & GST including board & feed program. Please PM or give us a call at 250-783-3396 to visit about our program & any questions that you may have.
The coffee is always on to talk horses and we encourage our clients to stop by at anytime along the way!
Please give us a call 250-783-3396 or PM to visit about our program with any questions that you may have.
