Seeking medical and living expenses

Dear Kind-Hearted Individuals,
I am a refugee from Hong Kong who was forced to leave my home due to political and social circumstances. I came to Canada seeking protection, and I have since been recognized as a protected person. I have already applied for permanent residency (PR), but I am currently waiting for approval. In the meantime, my work permit has expired, leaving me unable to work or earn an income. Additionally, my health coverage has also expired, preventing me from accessing essential medical care.
I have reached out to Service Canada multiple times to inquire about renewing my Social Insurance Number (SIN) and other necessary documentation. However, they informed me that I must first receive my Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) before they can approve any renewals. This has left me in a helpless situation, unable to work or receive any government assistance, making daily survival an ongoing struggle.
To make matters worse, I am facing severe housing insecurity. I am currently living in a shelter long-term, as I have no stable place to stay and no financial means to afford even the most basic necessities. Recently, I was diagnosed with genital warts (HPV), a viral infection that requires at least three months of treatment to clear. Unfortunately, since I no longer have healthcare coverage, I cannot access any government assistance to purchase the medication I urgently need. This has left me feeling both physically and emotionally exhausted—struggling not only with the illness but also with the overwhelming financial burden of getting the necessary treatment.
At this moment, I feel like I have hit rock bottom. I don’t want to give up—I want to recover, rebuild, and create a better future for myself in Canada. However, the challenges I am facing are simply too overwhelming to overcome alone. My only hope now is that compassionate individuals in the community can extend a helping hand and support me through this incredibly difficult period.
Your generosity—no matter the amount—will make a significant difference in my life. Your donation will help me pay for urgent medical expenses, allowing me to complete my three-month treatment, clear the virus, and restore my health. Your kindness will also help me afford basic living expenses, ensuring that I have food to eat and a place to stay while I wait for my permanent residency to be approved.
I truly believe that kindness and compassion still exist in this world. Even the smallest act of support will mean the world to me. I also promise that once I am back on my feet, I will pay this kindness forward by helping others who are facing hardships, just as I am now.
Please help me get through this dark and challenging time so that I can regain my health and rebuild my future.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your support, in any form, is a lifeline for me.
May you always be blessed with good health, happiness, and kindness in return.
