ISO Land for Ecological Tiny Home
Description
Hi there!
I’m beginning the process of looking for land for my future tiny home. I want to find a place that feels right to stay for the long-term, thus why I’m starting before the tiny home is even built!
I’m hoping to find someone with space on their property/farm who would be willing - no, would LOVE :) - to share some space with a friendly, easy-going, ecologically-minded human in a (relatively large) tiny home in exchange for rent money and perhaps some labour exchange if we can find something that feels right.
I have dreamt about living tiny for years, and now it finally feels that I have the resources and network around me to be able to make that dream come true! At the end of 2020 I was diagnosed with Lyme disease, which has completely halted my momentum in life. Prior to the diagnosis, I was working hard toward learning all I could about permaculture, growing food, creating community, teaching, homesteading, and earth repair. I’m still wildly passionate about these things but for the moment, my health has needed to take a front seat with all else taking a back seat. I’m optimistic that creating my tiny home sanctuary will be helpful for my healing journey and allow me to get right back on my life path. :) My physical capacity is lower than usual right now, but I would love to help with gardening, fruit tree care, or other light outdoor tasks on your property, as well.
I am looking for:
-somewhere within 15-45 minutes from Victoria
-water and electrical hookups available **
-on a farm/orchard/family property
-some privacy
-space for a 32 foot trailer
-garden space, or potential garden space
-potential for long term stay
-ideally up to $500-600/month at most (but please feel free to make offers)
A little about me: I’m an adaptable, dynamic person, respectful and conscientious with others’ spaces, and keen to learn new skills and share some of my own (including herbal medicine, permaculture design, gardening, fermented foods, food preservation, seed saving, jewelry making, event coordination, and more). Prior to Lyme disease you could find me playing in the mountains as much as possible - hiking, rock climbing and camping at any opportunity. In non-COVID times, I love potlucks and gatherings with friends, and going to live music events, but I also really value my quiet downtime as well, to do yoga, qigong, read, and unwind. I value clear, honest communication and strive for authenticity and integrity in all my relationships.
I would love to chat more if this sounds like something that could interest you, and hopefully be a mutually beneficial scenario! I can also provide references!
